A Georgia woman is suing a fertility clinic after an in vitro fertilization (IVF) mix-up allegedly led to staff implanting the wrong embryo and to her giving birth to another couple's biological child.

Krystena Murray, 38, said she selected a s***m donor who looked like her "with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes." She became pregnant and delivered a baby in December 2023, according to the lawsuit.

However, Murray, who is white and who, according to the complaint, had a white s***m donor, was shocked when she gave birth and the baby boy she delivered was African American, the suit states. https://abc7.la/4gJdn25

I think the fertility industry gives this illusion that using their IVF process is somehow more effective than spontaneous conception. In some cases where s***m is an issue or both partners have concerns, it may be.

With patience and better lifestyle habits (because infertility is most often caused by poor lifestyle eg long term nutrition, alcohol damage, stress etc)
you can conceive “naturally” even after 40.

Robert Winston, who heads the Genesis Research Trust in London, suggested fertility clinics that say women are unable to conceive in their mid-40s are doing so for financial gain.
