It was fantastic to have headspace CEO Jason Trethowan visit our headspace Edinburgh North centre last week to meet the incredible team who make this service such a vital part of the local community.

At Sonder, we’re proud to lead headspace Edinburgh North, headspace Adelaide, headspace Marion, and headspace Onkaparinga - services that play a critical role in improving access to mental health support for young people in our community.

Thank you to the Edinburgh North team for the exceptional work you do every day, and to Jason for taking the time to visit the service and community. 💚

headspace services are funded by the Australian Government Department of Health. Administration of funding is carried out by the headspace centre’s local Primary Health Network, in this case, Adelaide PHN.

We had a very special visitor yesterday here at headspace Edinburgh North... none other than .trethowan, CEO of headspace! 🥳

It was great to show Jason around our centre, share some updates about some of the work we are doing out in our local community, and have a yarn about what the year ahead looks like for the wider headspace community.

Thank you for stopping by Jason, we look forward to welcoming you back soon 💚

Penelope, 73, lives in Moonta Mines and loves her close-knit community. But accessing local healthcare services hasn’t always been easy.

After being referred to Sonder’s Integrated Primary Care (IPC) program, Penelope found something different: local, fully funded support that took the time to listen, understand her story, and meet her where she was at.

With compassionate dietetics support delivered close to home, Penelope began rebuilding her relationship with food, moving her body in ways she enjoyed, and feeling more confident in her health without pressure or judgement.

Our Closing the Gap – Integrated Team Care and Integrated Primary Care teams recently attended Essentials Day at the Balaklava Town Hall, alongside more than 30 other local services and organisations.

It was a great day of chatting with community members and other providers about how to access health services, where to refer people, and what supports are available locally.

Events like this are a good reminder of the importance of being visible, connected, and actively engaged within the communities we serve.

Thank you to Wakefield Regional Council for hosting the day!

Great news for families across the Yorke Peninsula and Gawler / Two Wells regions! 💙

Sonder is proud to partner with the South Australian Government to deliver free child health and development checks for children aged 5 months to 5 years, helping children get the best possible start in life.

A child’s early years are a time of rapid growth and development. These one-hour checks, led by Sonder’s registered child health nurses, focus on physical health and development, including growth, communication, cognition, behaviour, feeding, sleep, hearing and vision.

Families can book at any stage between 5 months and 5 years. The checks are free, voluntary, and do not require a referral.

Appointments will be available from March 2026, with sessions held at community locations and clinics across the Yorke Peninsula and Gawler / Two Wells regions. Home visits are also available within these regions.

To request an appointment or find out more, visit sonder.net.au/programs/child-health-checks.

Got questions about Tailored Learning? We’ve got answers. 💬

If your teenager is finding school hard right now, support is available.

Our Tailored Learning program (formerly FLO) supports students in Years 8 – 12 who are disengaged from school or facing barriers that make regular attendance difficult. It’s flexible, personalised, and built around each young person’s wellbeing, strengths and goals.

We often hear the same questions from parents: Will my child stay enrolled? Do they need a diagnosis? What does support actually look like?

Swipe along below to get answers to these questions and more.

Tailored Learning works alongside schools and families, offering one-on-one mentoring, flexible learning options, wellbeing support and clear pathways beyond school, with support that continues during school holidays.

Swipe through to learn more, and if this feels like it could help your child, we encourage you to start a conversation with their school. 💙
