✨Meet Our Team✨
Samira has been part of the Balance Home Services family since 2022. She started out as a support worker, where she built strong connections with high-needs and complex clients. Her passion for advocating for others quickly shone through, leading her into a dual office role across Care Coordination and rostering. Samira loves being part of a team that helps clients kick goals and live their best lives.

She has a soft spot for supporting individuals with neurological and mental health needs, a space close to her heart where she truly feels she’s making a difference.

When she’s not busy coordinating care, you’ll likely find Samira café hopping in search of the perfect coffee, soaking up the vibes at a music festival, or out on a long walk enjoying some fresh air and me-time.

Amanda was all smiles and sparkle on her shift with Vicki, dressed to impress in her fabulous pink glittery dress, matching accessories, fresh nails and her favourite rings!

She looked like the queen of bling and was ready to take on a fun day of shopping in Victor Harbor. It’s always a joy seeing our clients light up and express themselves in ways that make them feel confident and happy!

When she’s not belly dancing, getting lost in a good book, or hanging out with her two giant (and loveable) Tibetan Mastiffs, Emma is pouring her energy into a career she truly loves. With over 20 years in the disability sector, 20 of those with Balance Home Services. Emma has grown from a hands-on support worker to a dedicated Care Services Manager.

Her journey through the roles of coordinator and manager has given her a deep understanding of the sector and a strong passion for making a difference. Emma is all about empowering her team, sharing her knowledge, and ensuring that everyone receiving support at Balance experiences care that’s not just high-quality, but genuinely life-enhancing. She loves a good challenge and is constantly inspired by the people she works with every day.

🐅Zoo Adventure 🦧
Liz recently supported Veronica on a fun and engaging outing to the Adelaide Zoo. The two enjoyed exploring the exhibits, spotting their favourite animals, and sharing a few laughs along the way.

It was a great opportunity for Veronica to connect with nature, enjoy the sunshine, and create some lovely memories, all while building confidence and community engagement.

Big thanks to Kennards Hire Glandore, especially Matthew for helping us out with a generator when our client Greg had a recent power outage and was stuck - reclined back in his chair with no way to get up. We really appreciate the quick response and support for our client when it was needed most. Legends!

🔬✨ SCIENCE FAIR FUN! ✨🔬

Mariam had a fantastic time at the Marion Library Science Fair, thanks to her support worker Suzen who came up with the brilliant idea!

Our support workers love finding creative ways to engage clients, and this was the perfect mix of learning and fun. Mariam rocked her lab coat, joined in the experiments, and proudly received a certificate.

Roz had an awesome day at the beach recently, making the most of the accessible beach wheelchair. With the sun out and the waves rolling in, she got to enjoy the sand and sea without any hassle. 🌊

We’re soaking up the last bit of sun before winter kicks in, everyone should be able to feel the ocean breeze and dip their toes in the water. Here’s to more fun and inclusive days like this! ☀️

Footy is officially back, and it's Alex's favourite time of year! Frank took him to see the Adelaide Crows train, and the excitement was clear from the moment they arrived. Alex loved watching his favourite players up close. Spotting Riley Thilthorpe, pictured here, was the highlight of his day.

🎉 Celebrating 20 Years! 🎉

What a milestone! On Saturday night, we celebrated two decades of dedication, care, and incredible teamwork.

A special part of the evening was honoring our long-term staff:
✨ 14 staff who have been with us for over 10 years
✨ 7 staff who have been with us for over 15 years
✨ And 5 amazing team members who have been with us for the entire 20-year journey!
