I am a somatic psychotherapist and mind-body eating coach working in private practice, helping women with food and body issues among other things.

Right now I am creating a course designed to help women break free from the cycle of binge eating and develop a balanced relationship with food and their bodies.

I’m looking to connect with 10 women in their 40s and 50s who have experience of binge eating for a 30-minute 1:1 interview.

This will help develop the course and make sure I'm meeting people's needs. Real-life experiences, challenges, and insights will play a vital role in shaping this program.

The Havening Technique is an effective therapy method that can help people to deal with stress, anxiety, and trauma.

It involves gentle touch of the face, shoulders and arms (you can opt to do this yourself or allow the therapist to do it for you) along with visualisation and distraction techniques.

As you sweep your face, arms and hands in a downwards motion, it changes your brain waves from highly anxious to one that’s similar to deep sleep.

While doing this your’e given simple distractions like counting backwards, to give your working memory a job.

The idea is to break the link between distressing memories and the emotions they bring up, leaving you feeling less triggered by the event or situation.
