How music therapy supports people:
🎶 In our sessions, children can develop social skills, attention, and regulation skills in an engaging, supportive environment that makes therapy fun.
🎶 For teens, we focus on identity formation, social skills, and emotional regulation, creating a safe space to explore and grow.
🎶 For adults, our work centres on building confidence and capacity, helping them access community music programs.

NDIS Funding
Music therapy is funded under the ‘Capacity Building Budget’:
- Adults and Teens: Line Item 15_615_0128_1_3
- Early Childhood: Line Item 15_005_0118_1_3

🎶 Clarifying NDIS Funding for Music Therapy 🎶

We’ve been receiving many questions lately about whether music therapy is still funded by the NDIS, especially with recent changes in NDIS legislation. Here’s the good news: Music therapy remains fully supported by the NDIS!

What is Music Therapy?
Music therapy is a recognised, evidence-based practice that helps clients with emotional regulation, speech development, and motor skills improvement, among others. It is delivered by registered music therapists (RMTs), who are allied health professionals.

What's the Difference?
While music therapy continues to be funded under NDIS capacity-building supports, sound therapy (a wellness practice) is no longer covered. Sound therapy is typically offered in holistic or spa settings and doesn’t meet the clinical requirements for NDIS funding.

Rest assured, our music therapy services are still covered, and we’re here to support you during this time of change. Reach out if you need any clarification.
