Her Journey… Meet Andrea and her family, who’ve just welcomed their gorgeous new addition, baby Camilla!

Camilla is named after our very own Dr. Carmel Cocchiaro – a meaningful tradition Andrea is carrying on from her mother, who named her after her obstetrician!

Dr. Carmel is truly honored to not only have been part of Camilla’s delivery but to also have her named in her honour! 🩷

Meet Diabetes Educator Thandy!!

Thandy joined the Her family in 2024 bringing her expertise in diabetes education to our community. If you have a diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes or Type 1 or 2 Diabetes, Thandy is here to support you with your journey.

We are so fortunate enough to have her as part of the team and if you haven’t met her already, she is very much looking forward to seeing you.

As we come to the end of 2024 we would like to take a moment of appreciation for the wonder women who make Her what it is.

To our beautiful team of Doctors - Carmel, Casie, Laura, Araz, Tamara and Magda - thank you for all you do. You make work such a great place to be and our team and clients are so lucky. Thank you for answering our messages and calls whenever we need you, for sharing your chocolate with us, for being women-centred, for being so professional and for being, to all of us, the best in the business!

We hope you all have had a very well deserved Christmas break with your families - and we hope enjoy a few highlights! It has been a big year and we cannot wait to see what 2025 brings. Also a BIG shout out to Dr Laura who is on call this year!

The safe birth of your baby is our priority here at Her! We love getting to see your photos of labouring and birthing moments - especially after so many appointments filled with chats, laughs and tears building up to the magical moment.

Whether it is the birth you dreamt of, or perhaps different from what you had envisioned, we hope to always ensure you are supported, well informed and involved in decision making. We strive for all of our clients to enter motherhood as empowered women with a happy and healthy baby!

Meet Bonnie and Holly! Here at Her, we feel so fortunate to support so many incredible journeys, and today, we’re excited to share the story of these twin sisters.

It was always their dream to have babies at the same time, and Dr Casie and our midwives are so happy to see that dream come true! In November last year, Dr Casie helped Bonnie welcome her beautiful daughter, Summer, into the world. It won’t be long, and the same will be true for Holly, whose little girl is due very soon!

It’s been heartwarming to see these two share their pregnancy journeys, attending appointments together and supporting each other through each milestone. We are so excited for them as they prepare for maternity leave together and the joy of watching their baby girls grow up side by side.

Our practice is always bustling with activity. From managing phone calls and greeting patients at the front desk, to handling the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep everything running smoothly, there’s never a dull moment.

Meet Midwife Eleni! 🩷

Eleni joined the Her family a few months ago now and we are so lucky to have her! She has been a midwife for many years and is super excited to be able to provide further continuity as she also works across both Calvary North Adelaide and Her.
