Having to treat players with heat fatigue, manage soft tissue injuries and the usual tennis niggles (including blisters) was all part of the AO journey, working alongside a dedicated team of medical professionals.

A great effort by Anita, working behind the scenes to support athletes at the highest level. She can’t wait to be back at the AO in 2027!

Dr David Kitchen, lower limb orthopaedic surgeon, will be consulting at 225 Military Road, Henley Beach on the second Friday of every month. His first clinic will be on Friday 13th of February.

Dr Kitchen specialises in hip and knee replacement, revision joint replacement, and lower limb sports injuries, including ACL and meniscal injuries.

sportsmed to join new Mount Barker Health Hub.

sportsmed is pleased to announce it will open a new clinic later this year within the Mount Barker Health Hub, currently being developed by Leyton Property. Co‑locating alongside the new flagship Mount Barker clinic for Jones Radiology will create a streamlined, integrated healthcare destination for the Mount Barker and broader Adelaide Hills community.

Chief Executive Officer, Tim Payze, said the new facility will offer contemporary consultation rooms, increased appointment availability, and a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high‑quality, community‑focused care.

“With Mount Barker’s rapid population growth, this new clinic will help ease pressure on existing services and give residents more convenient access to the care they need, closer to home,” Mr Payze said.

Further information about the clinic and the services to be offered will be shared in the coming months.

sportsmed was thrilled to once again be involved with our friends at Health Partners in providing massage services in the Recovery Zone at the Village.
