Since 1963, we’ve been supporting people living with spinal cord injury and other disability to live independently, safely and with choice. PQSA is the foremost community spinal cord injury body in South Australia, providing invaluable services to people with SCI and other disabilities. Established in 1963, the organization began as a volunteer-run advocacy group for those who required wheelchairs for mobility. As demand grew, PQSA expanded its reach across six locations in South Australia, including major regional centres, and was rebranded as PQSA in 2014. Today, the organization boasts a team of passionate and dedicated staff and volunteers who work together to enable everyone to participate fully in the community. PQSA has established itself as a subject matter expert in the SCI community, with strong ties to SA Health, allowing the organization to optimize health outcomes and treatment pathways. As a benevolent organization and registered NDIS provider, PQSA provides top-tier peer support, specialist spinal nursing, and occupational therapy services that have become best-practice models across health, rehabilitation, and community disability networks. PQSA is well-known for its commitment to removing barriers to participation and supporting the broader disability community through funding accessibility and inclusion initiatives. HomeCare+, PQSA's in-home care service, is a leading provider of services to people living with disabilities, across a range of physical, intellectual, and developmental conditions. The organization is committed to providing quality services and safeguarding its clients. At PQSA, the principles of person-centred care and individualised support are at the forefront of everything the organization does. Emphasizing a team approach with the client as the key team member, PQSA offers genuine, supported, and exciting job and career growth opportunities. For those seeking to empower those with spinal cord injuries and other disabilities to live their potential, PQSA is the ideal place to start.
