What is ANTALGIC posture?
As kindly demonstrated by legendary Victoria’s Secret Angel, Alessandra Ambrosio, ANTALGIC posture refers to the crooked posture a person has when they are leaning sideways, away from pain.
This is commonly seen in lumbar disc injuries but can also happen with injuries to Sacro- lilac joint of the pelvis.
Chiropractic techniques are often very helpful in relieving the underlying injuries that make a person adopt this abnormal posture and can have you standing up straight again soon.

"📊 Did you know 56% of Australians are not meeting recommended levels of physical activity?

This increasingly sedentary lifestyle is contributing to a range of spinal health concerns, with neck pain emerging as a prevalent issue.

Prolonged hours spent seated in a desk chair, followed by extended periods of inactivity and screen time like gaming or binge watching, can result in poor posture and weight gain, exacerbating musculoskeletal disorders like neck pain.

Adjust your thinking and join the National Spinal Health Week ‘Movement’ (26 May – 1 June) to get the heads up on tech neck, access FREE resources, and consult an ACA chiro for drug-free pain relief.

"📱 Don’t let Tech be a Pain In The Neck!

Neck pain? You might be experiencing tech neck - a growing musculoskeletal disorder caused by poor posture and overuse of mobile phones, tablets, and computers.

When we spend too much time with our heads tilted forward using devices, it places repeated stress on the cervical spine. Over time, this can lead to Tension Neck Syndrome – more commonly known as Tech Neck or Text Neck.

Non-ergonomic setups at home, school, or work can make it worse. And with 95% of Aussies using smartphones, tech neck is more common than ever.

If you suffer neck pain join the Spinal Health Week Movement (26 May – 1 June) and take proactive steps to prevent tech neck! 👉 Visit www.spinalhealthweek.org.au for FREE resources including fact sheets, guides, and podcasts, or to consult an ACA chiro for drug-free pain relief.
