End of year reminder:

As our clinic's will be having some closure dates over the Christmas/New Years period, we would like to remind everyone to pre-book appointments where possible with your GP if you require repeat prescriptions and or ongoing treatment.

We have a new Registrar that has started full time at Williamstown Medical, Dr Aziza Pramanik. While Dr David Banks has also returned to Adelaide Road Clinic, consulting full time until Feb.

We are working hard to keep you well during this difficult time. This has meant some changes to the way we are able to provide medical care.

Appointments can now be made via Telehealth.

What is Telehealth ?

Telehealth allows all Australians to access essential health services in their home while they undergo self-isolation or quarantine, and reduce the risk of exposure to Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Telehealth can be conducted in a number of ways. The GP will call you on the phone for a consultation or a consult can be arranged via video link. ( much like skype/facetime)
A Telehealth consultation will be made :
- If you require more scripts.
- To discuss any changes in your condition.
- Advice regarding your health.
- Advice regarding your medications.
- Following up on test results .

Our nursing team will also be involved in conducting telehealth consults for chronic disease management & care planning.
We will continue to see the patients for face to face consultations in the clinic in the following circumstances:
childhood immunisations and flu vaccines;
dressings and wound care; and
face to face consults arranged with your GP during a phone consult,

Online appointments are now available for phone consults.
All online appointments made via HealthEngine, the GP will call you on the number you have provided, at the allocated appointment time.

During the phone consultation, your GP will then decide if he/she will need to book you in for a face to face consult.

NO face to face consult can be booked via HealthEngine.

What is TELEHEALTH?
The Department of Health have introduced telephone and video consults for a number of appointments, these include standard consults, mental health consultations and chronic disease management. Of course there are some consults that will need to be performed in person, but please call the clinic so we can minimise the risk to our patients and our staff. Let’s all continue to do our part to care for you and protect those at risk!
