Whole Body Intelligence is a wellness experience in a stunning space that resonates peace and calm, on Grote Street, in the heart of Adelaide. Whole Body Intelligence is more than your typical yoga studio, we are a mindful movement and meditation studio to help you relax and rejuvenate and show you how amazing your body is designed to feel. We’re here to help you slow your thoughts and tune into your body and movement. We keep our classes small with a maximum of 15 clients and everything is provided for you, all you need to do is turn up. As well, we are directly aligned with Adelaide’s leading allied health center SA Integrated Therapies, enabling us to give each of you the support in all aspects of your health and wellness, helping you to find the elusive balance in a busy life, while looking after your mind, body and soul.

Bringing this divine little earth angel into the world and taking some time to play muma has really slowed me down, made me present and truly taught me to surrender to what is.
It’s helped me to create space to find my new perspective on importance. To ultimately trust in universal guidance. I’m more relaxed than ever and feel so at home within myself.
I’m excited to step back and no longer push, letting things fall into place when they are ready and releasing bridges and paths that no longer serve me. Just being, here and now, opening my heart and letting my soul speak.
So let’s not make New Years resolutions that are just dreams, wishes, things we think we should do. Instead, I suggest SURRENDERING to the present, to your true path, to what is. Tuning in and listening to your body and soul. ✨🙏🏼✨

Some day someone's gonna tell you that your tummies too big.
But your eyes aren't big enough.
That your thighs are too thick, but your hair isn't thick enough.
That your nose is too big, but your b***s aren't big enough.
That your lips are too thin, but your arms aren't thin enough.

To be a v***n in bed, but with
only a few men.
To be funny but not loud.
To be smart but don't dare have a diverse opinion.
To be political but not powerful or powerful but not political.
To love food but stay small.

They will tell you that petite is best, cute is best.
It's non offensive and take up minimum room, they will want you to believe that you don't need much room or a strong opinion or a twisted sense of humour with a liberated s*x drive and a round tummy with a flat chest.
They will gently nudge you into the "girl next door"

But you won't fall for it..

You don't belong in a box labelled "women"

On the twelfth day of Christmas our tip to you is........ 🎅🏻
Don't just crash on the couch these holidays, don't get me wrong have sometime out but also remember to make time to move. Especially when we aren't in our normal routine. Make it fun, do it on your own, with a friend or the entire family. Get on the water, go for a walk, a family bike ride, roll out the yoga mat, run outside with the kids, try something new or outside your comfort zone - keep active - your body, mind and spirit will love you for it.
I enjoy playing with my own yoga, no structure just free flow. Listening to my body, what it needs, where its tight, breath and connection.

Sage smudging, has been used since ancient times for healing and to clear the build up of emotional or spiritual negativity.
Our home environment can become blocked with harmful positive ions that can make us feel fatigued, sluggish and burnt out especially over the silly season, with many energies comimg and going.
Burning sage neutralizes the positive charge and releases large amounts of negative ions purify, cleansing and balancing the atmosphere.

Eat mindfully - Take a few deep breaths before your meal. Sit next to someone you genuinely find interesting and engage in some good chat. Appreciate the colours and smells of your food, the effort that has gone into preparing you a nourishing meal. Chew thoroughly and slowly. Put your fork down between bites. Breathe in through your nose while you eat. Express gratitude with others about your Christmas blessings.

Barreling through the shops for late minute gifts, flying around the house cleaning and decorating, wrapping the endless list of present, cooking and prepping in the kitchen like a madman? Find some lemon, or lemon oil and stick in up your nose!! Research shows that lemon scents instantly boost your mood, and clear your cells. Better yet chuck some in your drink bottle or diffuse it throughout the house.

On the seventh day of Christmas and in line with the last super moon 🌝 for 2016, our tip to you is....... ✨🎄✨
Oh dare I say it – take time out make a new calming tradition – on your own, with your family, or maybe just with your partner. Just because you have always done or always had a tradition doesn’t mean you should continue to force it, if you and your family have out grown it make new ones. Don’t push s**t up hill for the sake of an old tradition, kids screaming, nana whining, husband trying to pull it together. During the busy holiday season, seek out one afternoon of serenity. Take a leisurely drive, with a stop in nature, ground yourself, make a wish, spot Santa, observe the birds, listen to the waves, take a starlight stroll of the neighborhood. Find the slow, the peace of nature. Nothing is forced, it just happens, it just flows, exactly as it should, exactly as it needs to be. Let this be your reminder

Who doesn’t want to save money at Christmas time and look super cool and trending by doing it. Some of my favourite Christmas wrapping ideas which are also more environmentally friendly than the traditional wrapping also
1. Newspaper Wrapping or Paper bags – we all have these lying around….Wrap in this printed paper, tie with natural string or ribbon and add a bit of nature for the finishing touch.
2. Fabric or Tea Towel gift Wrap – pick a packet of cheap kmart tea towels to wrap your gifts eliminating the throw away waste and adding to the gift at the same time.
3. Butchers Paper – My butcher gives me butchers paper for free or at a very minimal cost (this is dependent on the relationship you have with your butcher) but I just love a natural wrapping of paper with some Christmas ribbon.

Be gentle on yourself. Realise that you WILL eat something not so healthy – GET OVER IT! LOSE THE GUILT!! Accept that during the holiday season you will most likely indulge (eat it and enjoy it!) foods that you normally wouldn’t eat year round and even more likely foods that aren’t doing any favors for you health wise. BUT this is the holiday season – so if you want a bit of wine. Gin, espresso martinis – have it (just not every day), want a cookie, cake, chocolate? Well have that too, just don’t overdo it and save those less than healthy snacks & foods for the parties and the get togethers NOT your when you are running around and reach for junk food out of convince or eating out of boredom!

Don't always go for" bigger and better," when planning your holidays, does the tree have to be the biggest most expensive, exclusive sparkly centre piece shipped for overseas?" Try not to loose perspective of what Christmas and the Holidays are about – its not about the money, the opinion or perception of value from others, bettering last year, impressing the family – its about love, gratitude, quality time with those you love – its can be hard not to get caught up in the commercialisation the ads, the glitz and glam, trust me I like things to be perfect and pretty too (I am still working on this) but don’t let your mood, your day, your week be ruled by stresses you create in your reality.

On the First Day of Christmas, our tip to you is....

Take some “me-time” Be totally selfish, take a bit of time each day that is all about YOU. Read a book, go to the gym, do some yoga, meditate or for the ultimate luxury detox – take a bath; make it extra divine by adding in some soothing Epsom salt, baking soda and essential oils – this is a great detox for your overloaded system as well as some serious self love time! Crank the tunes, take 20mins (or longer) and chill out.
