Whether you’re cheering for Brisbane, Penrith, or just in it for the footy spirit, there’s nothing like the start of the season to bring everyone together.

Thank you for supporting a year of incredible impact by our recycling hub in 2025 ♻️

As 2025 comes to a close, we want to thank our partners, customers and community for standing with our recycling team to create positive environmental and social impact.

This year, our e-waste and mattress recycling businesses, Electronic Recycling Australia and Bounce Back Mattress Recycling, continued to demonstrate what is possible when a circular economy model puts both environmental and social outcomes first.

💚 Social impact in 2025
Our recycling hub supported 75 jobs, including 50 roles for people with disability, delivering 109,470 hours of meaningful employment across the operations. These roles create opportunity, build skills and support inclusive workplaces where everyone can contribute.

♻️ Environmental impact in 2025
- 3.6 million kg of e-waste diverted from landfill;
- 64.26 million kg of CO₂ emissions prevented;
- Valuable materials recovered and returned to use, including glass, cardboard, plastics and gas; - Bounce Back recycled 23,000 mattresses, achieving up to 90% material recovery and preventing toxic materials from entering landfill.

🔁 Extending the life of electronics
Keeping products in use is central to our circular approach:
• 2,400+ electronic items refurbished and sold, including calculators, mobile phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, monitors and components;
• 400+ refurbished items donated to Backpacks 4 SA Kids INC., supporting children and families with access to essential technology.

🎓 Education and community engagement
In 2025, our Ottoway recycling hub became a place of learning and connection:
• 68 recycling hub tours delivered to 1,456 students and 208 teachers, and 189 people from community and business groups;
• Delivered a hands-on e-waste education project with Green Industries SA, Greenwith Primary School and Norwood Primary School, engaging 120 project teams and 340 students;
• Hosted 7 Saturday recycling drop-off days, combining community recycling with refurbished e-waste sales.

None of this would be possible without the support of the South Australian community. Every item recycled, every partnership formed and every choice to work with us has helped create a more inclusive economy and a more sustainable future.

Thank you for being part of the impact in 2025. We look forward to what we can achieve together in 2026.

Our Ambassador, Adelaide Football Club ruck Reilly O’Brien, recently spent time chatting with our Panorama crew about why he values his connection to Bedford and the positive impact our community has had on him throughout the year.

Reilly shared his personal highlights, the lessons he has learned in 2025 and the goals he is setting for an even bigger 2026.👊

Our community loved hearing his insights, asking questions and celebrating the end of the year together. Thank you, Reilly, for your ongoing support, energy and passion for inclusion. Here’s to another year of teamwork, growth and possibilities.💫

The Festive Season is in full swing in Mount Gambier, where clients and staff from our Learning and Experiences Hub participated in the 2025 AAM Timber Christmas Parade. 🎄🍭✨

Clients and staff from the hub did an incredible job of bringing their chosen theme to life, from brainstorming ideas to crafting props, designing costumes and pitching in wherever they could.

The magical result was “Wonka’s Wonderland”. 🍬

And in a sweet and sustainable surprise for Santa, they used recycled materials to create their float. 🙌

A big thank you to everyone for their creativity, enthusiasm and teamwork! 🎉👏

Summer is here and that means it’s time to stay sun smart. Remember to slip, slop, slap, seek, and slide: wear your hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, and take a break in the shade whenever you can.

Hayley, Jasmine and William from our Whyalla Learning and Experiences hub are leading the way this season and have sewn their very own sun hats! 🧢😎
