Bedford Group Bedford exists to support people with disability to live the life they choose At Bedford we live by a simple vision.

We strive to support change in the lives of people with disability by building capacity, independence and wellbeing. We do this by providing meaningful employment in a range of settings, tailored training, community access services and accommodation for over 1,500 people across South Australia. Above all, we promote individual choice and control to empower people with disability to live fulfilled and happy lives.

♻️ Recycling Drop-Off Day is TOMORROW, Saturday 30 August! 💻📱🖥️🖨️

Tomorrow is the last Saturday of the month, which means we are open at our Ottoway recycling hub and ready to receive your e-waste and unwanted mattresses!

🕘 Time: 7.00 am – 2.00 pm

📍 Location: 301 Grand Junction Road, Ottoway (Enter off Duncan Court)

Bring mattresses, computers, phones, laptops, TVs and household appliances! It’s a flat rate of $40 to manually recycle mattresses and all e-waste is free to recycle, except fridges and freezers, which incur a $20 charge for degassing.

Drive through, drop-off under cover, and drive away knowing you are supporting responsible recycling and employment opportunities for people with disability.

From trail maintenance and habitat restoration, to native plant propagation and wildlife support, participants gain practical skills, personal growth, and social connection, all while working towards their individual goals.

Located at our Ottoway recycling hub alongside Electronic Recycling Australia, the Bounce Back Mattress Recycling team responsibly disassemble unwanted mattresses and separate into components for further use in the circular economy. ♻️

Through this employment pathway for people with disability, every 50 mattresses provide a full day of meaningful work for one team member. By dropping off your unwanted mattress to 301 Grand Junction Road, you will not only be contributing to good environmental outcomes but also to fantastic social and community outcomes.🩷

Bounce Back is open 8.00am to 2.00pm Monday to Friday and the last Saturday of every month, 7.00am to 2.00pm - this Saturday, 30 August is the next one.

It’s $40 per mattress for recycling, not matter what the size or material, which is a very competitive rate!

And bring along your e-waste for recycling too!

Last week Bedford employee Ryan and his parents Gerry and Joyce Clarke were invited by Alex Dighton MP for lunch at Parliament House. Ryan and his family met the South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas, and gifted him a signed copy of his book ‘My Name is Ryan’, written by Gerry.

Ryan had a great conversation with the Premier about Bedford, his packaging job and the Crows. The family then watched Question Time from the Gallery, where the Speaker welcomed Ryan and his family.

Come and see our recycling team at Ottoway next Saturday! ♻️🤩

If you work during the week but want to be able to recycle e-waste and mattresses, our Ottoway recycling hub is now open the last Saturday of every month, in addition to Monday to Friday. That means we’re open next Saturday, 30 August from 7.00am to 2.00pm.

Drop in to our Ottoway recycling hub with your unwanted:

♻️ Mattresses - $40/mattress for recycling, no matter what the size or material - a very competitive price!
♻️TVs, computers, phones, household electricals and more - free to recycle except fridges and freezers, which incur a $20 cost for degassing

Bedford has been changing the lives of people with disability for over 70 years by building capacity, independence and well-being. We are the second largest employer for people with a disability in Australia. We also offer exceptional tailored services and provide a broad suite of NDIS support services including social participation activities, training and accommodation to over 1,500 people in South Australia and Victoria.

We build healthy relationships, foster skills to last a lifetime, and pride ourselves on providing hands-on support. Above all, we promote individual choice and control to empower people with disability to live fulfilled and happy lives.
