Our passion is helping you to achieve your goals. We are dedicated to using the most up to date physiotherapy assessment and treatment techniques, combined with a structured plan, to help you overcome your injury and return you to your desired activities as quickly as possible. Our treatment has a strong hands-on focus and we utilise progressive exercise in patient management, believe in educating clients to maximise results and encourage active self-management so you are able to take care of your injury or condition for great long term results. Meet Sean – Director and our Clinical Pilates & injury rehab expert!

Sean’s been a physio for over two decades, kicking off his career in private practice before heading to the UK to work and travel. He joined The Physio Studio team in 2008 and became co-director in 2010.

With a Level 4 DMA Pilates qualification and advanced training in Dry Needling and traditional acupuncture, Sean specialises in treating neck and shoulder pain, headaches, and complex back and pelvic injuries. He also has extensive experience managing work-related and motor vehicle injuries.

He currently leads our Clinical Pilates program and is head physio for Cumberland United Football Club. Having competed at a high level in both soccer and golf, Sean brings real-world insight to sports injury management.

When he’s not in the clinic, you’ll find him down at Cumberland United where he is heavily involved, or playing a round at Kooyonga Golf Club. ⛳⚽

✅ Light movement > heavy lifts
✅ Daily mobility for hips + ankles
✅ Rehearse your warm-up — don’t wing it on the day
✅ Stick to your usual gear (no new shoes!)

Hitting a Parkrun around Adelaide this weekend? Don’t skip your warm-up!

A proper warm-up gets your body prepped, your joints moving, and reduces your risk of injury—especially as the weather cools down ❄️

Try this before you run:
✅ 5 mins brisk walking or light jog
✅ Dynamic stretches (think leg swings, high knees, hip openers)
✅ A few short run-throughs at your target pace

Warming up = better performance + fewer ni**les. Your body will thank you!
