August is National Tradies Health Month.
Are you or do you know a Tradie whose favourite phrase is ‘she’ll be right mate’, but they’re not alright?
Due to the nature of their work, tradies commonly experience back, knee and shoulder pain. This can significantly impact their quality of life.
Physiotherapy can assist by :
Preventing injuries – Therapists teach manual handling to work safely and avoid common injuries.
Early intervention – Addressing pain early helps prevent chronic and long-time issues.
Enhancing quality of life – By assisting with pain management, tradies can enjoy their daily activities (inside and outside of work).
Adapting with age – Our bodies change as we age. Physiotherapists can assist with adjusting work practices, to reduce the risk of injury and allowing longevity in their career.
