This is what sizing arms looks like. I've tried the charts, proportions etc and it never comes out looking right, but I find my best method is just going by 'feel'.

Just take a look at the difference in size between my usually smaller 7 inch sculpt's arm, and this current arm. I had no plans to sculpt a big Chunk, I even tried to keep it to my normal size, but I failed...and for that I'm happy. I love a chunky baby, and this has turned into a wonderful redirect.

I can't wait to finish the limbs and put her together 💗

Winter has properly hit our little city in Australia.
1 day off with strong wind, rain and cold means I could catch up on a sleep in and finalising this chunky little head.
Today the focus was on building cranial structure, neck fl**ge, little rolls and ears.

Stupidly sticky clay. Every now and again you get a batch of clay that isn't quite right. Polymer clay can be tricky like that. Unfortunately I bought a few from the same batch. It's like bubblegum, and smears on the hands something terrible.
I spent a few hours on this head and realised it's just unworkable, not just sticky but also loaded with tiny airbubbles which means disaster after a bake.

So in the bin it goes, and off to get new clay. Luckily it wasn't the original head I've been sculpting. (I've changed the face multiple times and I'm finally happy with it 🙈)
