🥗 Rid the World of Fad Diets & Gimmicks Day 2026 🌟

Nutrition advice is everywhere, yet not all of it supports long term health.
Today is a reminder that sustainable wellbeing comes from evidence based choices, not quick fixes or extreme rules.

This day encourages a shift toward:
✔️ Balanced eating patterns over restriction
✔️ Evidence informed guidance instead of trends
✔️ Long term habits rather than short term results
✔️ Respect for individual needs, preferences, and contexts

It’s not about finding the perfect diet. It’s about building realistic, supportive habits that people can maintain over time.

As health professionals, promoting clarity and evidence helps reduce confusion and supports healthier relationships with food.

📵 National No Phones at Home Day 2026 🌟

Phones play an important role in daily life, but constant access can affect rest, attention, and connection at home.
Today is a reminder that small, intentional pauses from screens can support healthier routines and mental clarity.

This day encourages simple habits such as:
✔️ Putting phones away during meals
✔️ Creating screen free time in the evening
✔️ Being present during conversations
✔️ Allowing space for rest, movement, and downtime

It’s not about removing technology. It’s about using it in ways that support balance and wellbeing.

🏋️ National Kettlebell Day 2026 🌟

Kettlebells are a simple tool that can deliver meaningful strength, control, and coordination when used with purpose.
Today is a reminder that effective training does not need to be complex, it needs to be well taught and well applied.

Used correctly, kettlebells support efficient, full body movement and long term physical capacity.
Quality of movement always matters more than the weight being lifted.

🌾 National Gluten Free Day 2026: Informed Choices, Better Wellbeing 🌟

For many people, going gluten free is not a trend, it is a necessary part of managing health and daily function.
National Gluten Free Day is a reminder that informed, evidence based dietary choices can play an important role in supporting comfort, energy levels, and overall quality of life.

This day encourages awareness around:
✔️ Understanding who truly benefits from a gluten free diet
✔️ Reading labels carefully and reducing cross contamination
✔️ Ensuring balanced nutrition when removing gluten
✔️ Respecting individual dietary needs without assumption or judgement

It’s not about restriction for the sake of it. It’s about making choices that support gut health, symptom management, and long term wellbeing when gluten intolerance or coeliac disease is present.

As health professionals, helping individuals navigate these choices with clarity and evidence supports safer decisions and better outcomes over time.

International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025: Inclusion Begins With Action

Disability is part of human diversity. Many barriers arise not from the person, but from environments that were not designed with everyone in mind. Today is a reminder that small, evidence based changes can create spaces where everyone can participate and thrive.

This year encourages us to focus on

✔️ Accessible environments in workplaces and public spaces
✔️ Clear communication that supports different needs
✔️ Inclusive physical activity and movement opportunities
✔️ Attitudes that prioritise respect, dignity and equity

It is not about doing everything perfectly. It is about consistent steps that strengthen participation, independence and quality of life for all.

As health professionals, promoting accessibility and inclusive practices helps build communities where every person is supported and valued.

On November 8, we celebrate World Radiography Day, the anniversary of Wilhelm Conrad Röntgen’s discovery of X-rays in 1895. His discovery revolutionized medicine by allowing clinicians to see what was once invisible: bones, tissues, and the underlying structures that shape our movement and health.

At Evidence for Exercise, “seeing beneath the surface” resonates deeply with what we do every day. Just as radiography helps reveal the source of pain or injury, evidence-based exercise helps us understand the why behind human movement, the biomechanics, physiology, and neuroscience that guide how we prescribe and progress exercise for rehabilitation.

At Evidence for Exercise, our mission continues to be translating that evidence into movement, making the unseen science behind recovery clear, applicable, and empowering

🧠 World Mental Health Day 2025

Some days our minds feel light and focused. Other days, the weight is heavier. Both are part of being human.

Today is a reminder that:

✔️ It’s okay to ask for help
✔️ It’s okay to slow down
✔️ It’s okay to put wellbeing first

Caring for mental health doesn’t always require big changes. Evidence shows that small, consistent acts — a short walk, checking in with someone you trust, or prioritising sleep — can strengthen resilience, both individually and in our communities.

Let’s commit to supporting each other with openness, compassion, and understanding.

💬 Share one small habit that helps you care for your mental health.

💺 Back Care Awareness Week 2025: Small Habits, Stronger Backs 🌟

Back pain is one of the most common health challenges, yet it often goes unnoticed until it limits daily life.
This week is a reminder that simple, evidence-based habits can help protect and strengthen your spine:

✔️ Sit well – support good posture throughout the day
✔️ Move often – break up long periods of sitting with gentle activity
✔️ Lift smart – protect your spine with proper technique
✔️ Care holistically – manage stress, sleep, and overall wellbeing

It’s not about avoiding every ache, but about supporting spinal health, mobility, and long-term quality of life.

As health professionals, guiding clients in these practical strategies helps them stay active, independent, and pain-free.
