Para-abled & Parability Para: A Greek word meaning...Alongside. Able meaning.....ability. Para-able and Parability are posi

These words are positive words to replace the negative words - 'disabled' and 'disability'. Every individual has ability, only dead people have a disability (ie no ability). Para-abled and Parability are in line with the words Paralympic and Paramedic which have been accepted world wide. (Para-abled and Parability as companion words were devised by Jan C***s)

I was delighted to be invited, last Sunday, by L'Arche to their Disability Community Weekend to be interviewed about my published Book 'Thanks Mosquito For the Great Ride, and other subjects. It was a great thoughtful 1/2 hour interview by Cameron Bradshaw (pictured) plus questions from the audience.

My husband and I were made to feel so welcome, there was even a welcome song for us.

Just an update on my passionate mission to change the words disabled and disability to my proposed words Para-abled & Parability.

I received an email from the United Nations in Canberra to say they are forwarding my proposal to United Nations Office in Geneva.

If we have something we are working towards we just have to keep trying, and I will.

I took this video yesterday morning.

Before going to a morning tea and session, at the Premership suit at the Adelaide Oval in South Australia.

I was one of 60 who got the chance to pitch my proposed words Para-able & Parability to each of 6 media reporters.

All went well,I will keep trying. I feel totally exhausted today.

I have also written a letter along with a 7 minute professionally made from 2 videos we had made.

My husband Graham had put the 7 minute video together from parts of my book launch and the video about the words.

The letter and 7 minute video has been snail mail posted to the Australian United Nation in Canberra, Australia.

Canberra UN, rang me to tell me they had received my package and are sending it onto the United Nations Headquarters in New York.
