Who heals the Woman who everyone relies on?
š§” Women who heal are often highly attuned to others.
Monitoring symptoms.
Reading emotional cues.
Responding quickly.
Holding steady in crisis.
š«© This constant outward attention asks a great deal of the nervous system.
Over time, the body can remain subtly āon alertā ā even after the shift ends, the children are asleep, or the day is done.
Sleep becomes lighter.
Patience shorter.
Recovery slower.
Nervous system regulation is not simply about calming down.
ā
It is about allowing the body to access deep physiological rest ā the kind of rest where accumulated stress can unwind.
Research on Transcendental Meditation shows that during practice, the body enters a state of restful alertness ā
metabolic rate decreases, stress hormones reduce, and the nervous system shifts out of chronic activation.
In that depth of rest, the body begins to repair.
āŗļø Women in healthcare, psychology, education and family life often tell us they notice:
⢠clearer thinking under pressure
⢠more emotional steadiness
⢠improved sleep
⢠greater resilience over time
Not because they are trying harder.
But because their nervous system is no longer carrying so much strain.
When a woman heals her own system,
her care becomes sustainable.
šæ If this resonates, our monthly women-only Introductory Talk (held on the 3rd Tuesday) offers a simple explanation of how this approach works ā and space to explore whether it feels right for you.
You are warmly welcome.
