PLUTO was recently relegated to DWARF status by scientists, but to ASTROLOGERS it packs the energy of a GIANT.
Pluto turns DIRECT on 13th October 2025 until it turns RETROGRADE again on 6th May 2026.
Pluto is the first of the retrograde planets to turn direct on 13th October 2025 but for all practical purposes, the Lord of the Underworld is pretty much STATIONARY all month, moving only 1/20th of a degree in 31 days!
The name Pluto came from the Roman god of the underworld; and it is also an epithet for Hades (the Greek equivalent of Pluto). Upon the announcement of the discovery, by American astronomer CLYDE TOMBAUGH in 1930 at Flagstaff in Arizona, the Lowell Observatory received over a thousand suggestions for names.
An 11year old girl called Venitia Burney Phar was the winner of the competition and she went on to become an Economics and Maths teacher in England.
With a diameter of just 2,300 kilometres, Pluto is much smaller than the Moon. It also crosses Neptune's orbit on its journey around the Sun lasting 247 Earth years. All of these reasons called its status as a planet into question.
Pluto's energy is extremely potent and powerful. The planet represents the underbelly of emotions, what lies beneath the surface, and the subconscious mind. All the parts of ourselves that we do not share freely with the outside world.
