The Marion Riding Club Inc started as a Pony Club in 1960 and moved to the beautiful Shepherds Hill Recreation Park in 1970. We aim to ride and train our horses in a quiet, relaxed atmosphere, with members enjoying the social aspects of horse riding too. Event days are held throughout the year, with help from experienced trainers if requested. We focus on Working Equitation, hoping to establish a greater participation in SA. We share the core values of the national Working Equitation Down Under Association. Equine Welfare: Accepting that our relationship with our equine partners is a privilege, we believe that safeguarding the welfare of the horse is paramount. Respect: For each other, for the safety of ourselves and our horses, and for the health of the environment in which we all live and work. Inclusivity: Working together, we provide a meaningful equestrian experience for all of our members, from grassroots participation through to elite performers. Excellence: We reflect the highest aspirations of our members and work to inspire and empower them to reach their full potential through outstanding performance. We welcome new members & those who may just like to give it a try can choose Day
Membership. Nervous riders and young horses are given utmost consideration.

Not long now until our Working Equitation Clinic Sunday 24th August where you can brush up your skills in readiness for our 2nd Tri Series Competition in September by having a 40minute lesson with our resident Medium Level Competitor and trainer Zena Alliu (Obstacle or flatwork lesson)

Unfortunately due to low entry numbers
It is with sad heart that we have had to cancel this weekends Mal Maytom clinic

We are aware of how random the weather has been recently and think this may be the reason for the low uptake

All current entrant’s will receive a refund within the next 24/48 hours

Hopefully the weather will be better for Septembers clinic

Unfortunately due to the heavy rain forecast for the coming weekend
The MRC committee has taken the decision to cancel the
Michele Meijer WEQ clinic & obstacle play session

This decision hasnt been taken easily
And we apologise for any inconvenience to any participants who had signed up for the day

Any monies taken will be refunded within the next 24/48 hours

We look forward to seeing you at future events
