Panel Spotlight: The Impact of Disability Employment Projects

Our first panel at the Education Forum will explore the important role of innovative community-based projects in supporting people with disability on their journey to employment.

While national systems like the NDIS play a vital role, many people first connect with local community initiatives — often free or low-cost programs that provide practical information, build confidence, and bridge gaps in support. These projects can be the first step toward meaningful employment, independence, and community participation.

This panel will share real experiences from the people delivering these programs and highlight how community-led initiatives are making a difference.

Panel Chair:
• Lukasz Wojniak – SACID Inclusive Adviser & CBS Inc. Projects Moonlight Speaker

Panelists:
• Renee Perchard – Aim Wider Project Coordinator, CBS Inc.
• Mireia Medina – Aim Higher Project Coordinator, CBS Inc.
• Jack Moloney – Hospitality Inclusive (HI) Project Coordinator, CBS Inc.

Event Details:
Date: 19 March 2026
Time: 4:00–8:00pm
Address: Adelaide Pavilion

Our HI Project participants have officially wrapped up their first week at Sprout Cooking School — and what an incredible start it’s been! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Putting their classroom learning into practice in a real kitchen, participants impressed from day one. From mastering knife skills to building confidence and teamwork, everyone rose to the challenge and created some amazing dishes along the way.

✨ Week one highlights included:
🥭 Mango with coconut sticky rice
🍓 Strawberry custard tarts

We are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm and growth shown already — and we can’t wait to see what they whip up this week!

For any questions about the HI Project, please contact Project Coordinator Jack Moloney at 📧 jack.moloney@cbsinc.org.au

Human rights are not just policy frameworks — they are the foundation of safe, inclusive and respectful communities for all.
