Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to the incredible mum dogs helping shape the next generation of life changers.

From their very first days, these pups are nurtured with love, care and confidence — the foundation for future roles supporting people living with low vision or PTSD.

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate the special dogs behind the journey and the Volunteers who help raise them along the way.

There’s nothing better than hearing passionate people share the impact of the work we do every day.

Recently our Assistance Dog Instructor, Sophie spoke to Peter Greco from Vision Australia Radio about the work of See Differently and the life changing impact of our services.

Advocacy, awareness and storytelling are such an important part of helping more people understand the experiences of those living with low vision or blindness and the difference support can make.

Pup Of The Month | Meet Wilma

Wilma’s days are filled with all the best things in life starting with a very big morning cuddle to kick things off just right. She loves heading out to the shops, taking in all the sights and sounds.

At home, you’ll often find her happily sitting with her family enjoying her Kong while they relax with coffee and crosswords, it’s her way of joining in on the quiet moments.

When it’s time to unwind, Wilma enjoys watching bird and dog documentaries and spending quality time with her family. She’s a beautiful mix of playful, relaxed, and oh so loving

Last week, we were incredibly humbled to attend the SA Power Networks Employee Foundation AGM and stand alongside 53 charities supported through their remarkable culture of giving.

In the last year alone, the Foundation donated an incredible $650,000 back into the community, a reflection of the generosity and commitment of SA Power Networks employees, with more than 31% of staff contributing through regular payroll giving.

Thanks to this ongoing support, our Guide and Assistance Dog programs have continued to change lives.

The team at SA Power Networks are a true inspiration, and we’re so grateful to be part of the impact they continue to create across our community.

What A Wonderful Way To Celebrate International Guide Dog Day

Thank you to everyone who joined us, showed their support, and helped recognise the impact of See Differently Guide Dogs in our community.

Days like this are a reminder that these partnerships don’t happen in isolation, they’re made possible by people who give their time, care and support.

While nearly 19,000 Guide Dogs are working worldwide, demand continues to grow each year.

As we look ahead, we’re reminded just how important community support is in creating more of these life-changing partnerships.
