I find the sensory qualities of working with clay deliciously alluring; the earthy smell and the texture, combined with the creativity of problem solving and producing shapes and sculptures and possibilities….or the simplicity of rolling the clay around and squishing and scrunching can be fabulously therapeutic 🧡

Other benefits of working with clay can include significant therapeutic, cognitive, and physical benefits, acting as a powerful stress-reliever that lowers cortisol and induces a meditative, “flow” state.

It promotes mindfulness, enhances fine motor skills, and provides a tactile, creative outlet that helps process emotions.

For children and adults alike, clay encourages patience, problem-solving, and confidence-building through the creation of tangible art.

I feel So lucky to live in this beautiful part of the world, along the coast of Southern Adelaide, With the access to nature all around us, the birds, the wildlife, the trees and the waterways.
I feel more relaxed and calm when I make / take the opportunity to marinate in nature as much as possible.

How bout you?

Do you any favourite places you like to go in nature, to help calm your body and brain? 🍀🌸✨🐢🪾🌳

sketching portraits as a way to connect w people (clients and family) is an approach some of my clients value and appreciate 🎨 🎨
They take great joy in seeing their finished portrait,
and this process sometimes takes the pressure off them and what they are creating or saying 🎨

I used felt markers with messy and spontaneous colourful splashes and the edit app on the phone🎨

I created these pics of my daughter 🧡 whilst she was sketching. 🎨
