✨ Meet Louise Bastian ✨

We’re excited to welcome Louise Bastian as our Community Manager for Northern Communities 💜

Louise has spent the past 10 years working across the non-profit and disability sectors, supporting people through cancer services, victims of crime programs and services for women experiencing domestic violence. With a background in Law and Psychology, she brings both strong advocacy and genuine compassion to everything she does.

Earlier in her life, Louise represented Australia in professional swimming and lived in South Africa - experiences that shaped her resilience, perspective and love of community.

What really drives Louise is a simple but powerful belief: every day, she wants to leave people in a better place than where she found them. She’s passionate about building strong teams, meaningful connections and supportive communities where people feel truly valued.

Outside of work, Louise is a proud mum to two very cool kids - the absolute loves of her life.

🎅 A special visitor dropped by Orion Care this afternoon…

Father Christmas popped in to meet the Orion Care team and, of course, to check his list 😉
There was plenty of laughter, smiles, and festive cheer as he worked out who had been naughty or nice this year. There were a few who were naughty - just saying....

Moments like this remind us that behind the important work we do every day is a team that brings heart, humour, and genuine care to everything they do.

🌟 Celebrating an Amazing Achievement at Orion Care – Whites Road Community 🌟

A huge congratulations to Kaye, Team Leader, and the wonderful team at Orion Care House on Whites Road for being recognised as SIL House of the Year 🏆

This award reflects the incredible way Kaye and her team run the house - working closely together, living their values, attending training, and most importantly being consistently there for the clients. Their commitment and teamwork truly shine every day.

💙 A big shout-out to the amazing staff who make this community so special:
Diana, Jadish Kaur, Monica, Seta, Sandeep, Nina, Hannah, Kelly, Huong, and Jenny.

What makes the Whites Road community stand out is that it’s more than just a job. We’re all human beings here, and the care factor is high. The compassion, respect, and genuine support shown by this team create a warm and welcoming home for everyone.

Look who’s just joined .
Meet Charles, you will see him out and about getting amongst the communities in the coming weeks in the run up to Christmas. He’s really looking forward to meeting you all, getting to know the team and generally getting amongst it. Charles is the new Business Development Manager at Orion Care so you will be seeing plenty of him!

Today we farewelled the lovely Dinu, our Senior HR Advisor, as she begins her maternity leave. Dinu has made a lasting impression on all of us with her infectious smile and calm determination. She’s been an incredible support and a true asset to the team, and we’re certainly going to miss her presence in the office.
We wish her all the best for this exciting new chapter and look forward to welcoming her back when the time comes. 💐✨
