This week we're sharing the message of Farmsafe Australia for Farm Safety Week.

We would like to acknowledge SA farming families and workers who undertake hard work, experience many challenges, and often do so in isolated and high risk environments.

It's so important to have first aid training and equipment in these settings - in fact, it can be life saving. In remote settings too, having access to an AED is critical when emergency help is not close by. Your workplace may even have an obligation to comply with new AED laws.

This NAIDOC Week and beyond, St John Ambulance SA proudly acknowledges and celebrates the history, culture and excellence of First Nations peoples.

The 2025 theme, The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy, marks a powerful milestone: 50 years of NAIDOC Week. In addition to acknowledging the achievements of the past, it also looks forward to a bright future, empowered by young leaders, communities, and the legacy of ancestors.

We're honoured to be supporting a range of NAIDOC Week community events across South Australia with Health and Medical Services, that celebrate culture, resilience and connection, including:

• NAIDOC in the South
• Kura Yerlo NAIDOC in the West
• NAIDOC in the North
• NAIDOC SA Family Festival
• NAIDOC Family Fun Day at Ratalang
• Moorundi Aboriginal Health Fair Day

Today is International Paramedics Day 🚑

At St John Ambulance SA, we’re proud to recognise the vital role our Paramedics play in keeping South Australians safe and supported.

This year’s theme, Unity & Community, is at the heart of everything they do. Whether delivering care at events, providing non-emergency patient transport, responding to emergency deployments, leading training, or guiding clinical operations behind the scenes, our Paramedics are there for the community – with compassion, professionalism and skill.

They work shoulder to shoulder with volunteers, staff and partner agencies, bringing calm to crisis and care to people when they need it most.

To all our Paramedics – thank you. Today, and every day, we’re grateful for your commitment to community. 💚

Today we celebrate St John’s Day, marking an incredible milestone — 100 years of St John Youth in Australia!

Many of our current and former volunteers began their St John journey as youth members — or cadets, as they were previously known. The program not only teaches vital first aid skills but also equips young people with important life skills, including leadership development and personal growth.

For many, being part of St John Youth has inspired a passion for healthcare, with countless youth going on to build successful careers in the field. It’s a proud legacy and an excellent training ground for the next generation of healthcare professionals.

We’re incredibly proud of our youth members and their dedication to making a positive impact in the South Australian community. Happy St John's Day! ❤

Shout out to our amazing Prospect Volunteer Team! 🌟

Last weekend, 10 operational team members braved the cold to support the Adelaide 24 Hour Festival by providing 27 hours of continuous Health and Medical Services coverage to keep event-goers safe and well-cared for.

Team members rugged up and took on shifts around the clock and were extra excited to be there with the debut of one of our new Multi-Purpose Vehicles that provides excellent event support for our teams.

Thank you for providing this exceptional service, yet again!

St John Ambulance SA is heading to the 2025 South Australian Tourism Conference Trade Show!

We’ll be there on Day 2 – this Friday, 13 June at Morphettville Racecourse, sharing how we support South Australia’s tourism and events industry with trusted health and medical, training, and safety services.

Find us in the Adelaide Cup Room from 8:20am to 5:15pm during catering breaks.
