Great night at the The Big Bike Film Night last night here in Adelaide.

One of the films featured the great work taking place at Cycling Without Age Santa Barbara.

One of the ladies I spoke to said it was her favourite of the 9 films shown and was "the only one that made me cry".

We had 6 people sign up to volunteer with Cycling Without Age so looking forward to welcoming them soon

This Wednesday Oct 23, our ride is allocated to the City of Adelaide as part of their 'Spring into Wellbeing' event.

They have some spare spots!

So if you know anyone keen to go on a trishaw ride they can sign up at the below link - they also get a coffee from Café Bonython afterwards.

The event is listed as going from 10 till 3 but there are earlier time spots available. So a 10 am ride plus a drink is a time commitment of an hour or so.

Maybe you have an elderly relative / friend that you have been meaning to get out for a ride?

Cycling Without Age Adelaide is now firmly established and as we move into spring, we are looking for additional pilots and concierges.

Operating from Bonython Park, we are providing free trishaw rides to elderly people from all over Adelaide, including aged care facilities in Unley.

If you are keen to get involved, please call Tom on 0421 619 366 for a chat, or fill in the google form which contains a link to a 2 minute YouTube video that explains what we do better than words can :)

Yesterday, Tom made a speech at Rotary Adelaide lunch at Adelaide Oval.

There is a video at the commencement, so the speech really starts at the 3.30 mark if you wanted to watch :)

Snuck in a great ride yesterday before the rain hits Adelaide today.

We even had a CWA visitor from Cycling Without Age Napier, New Zealand. His name is Alan and he has just finished riding across the Nullarbor and dropped in to say g’day - and was very impressed with what we have achieved in our first month of operation.

They are in winter recess at the moment but here in Adelaide we get to ride all year long - with the help of beanies, gloves and extra blankets in the depths of winter!

We are beyond excited to be launching the Adelaide chapter of Cycling Without Age - Australia

From mid May, elderly citizens will be enjoying trishaw rides through the beautiful Adelaide parklands.
