✨ Reiki — A Universal Energy for Humanity’s Awakening
Reiki, like many healing modalities, was brought to the West to support humanity through times of great change. It could have remained hidden, passed quietly between teachers and students in Japan. But it wasn’t. Reiki made its way into the world because it was meant to.
I believe Reiki is making a powerful return right now, here to assist in the collective shift we are experiencing as human beings and helping us remember our true nature, restore balance, and reconnect with the universal flow of energy that moves through all things.
One of the things I love teaching students is to honour their own unique medicine.
Each of us carries wisdom and experience that shape the way we hold space and express Reiki. Many practitioners I know blend other modalities — sound, breath, crystals, ceremony — because their soul came here to serve in a way that is uniquely theirs.
Reiki is universal not just in its essence, but in its expression.
There are foundational principles that guide us, but Dr. Mikao Usui, who founded Reiki, didn’t originally teach strict hand placements or techniques. He simply followed energy, placing his hands where healing was needed most, guided by intuition and spirit.
This is the beauty of Reiki: it’s a living, breathing energy that meets us where we are. When we connect with our Reiki guides and trust our intuition, we allow Reiki to flow through us in its most authentic form.
Reiki continues to evolve, just as humanity does. And I truly believe it’s here to support us in remembering who we are — channels of light, love, and universal energy.
