A new study into chiropractic care didn’t just ask people how they felt.
It measured blood markers, stress hormones and brain adaptability.
The results raise some fascinating questions about spinal health.
We explain it in plain English on our website.

Big wellbeing shifts don’t come from doing everything. They come from doing small things often.
Pick one habit from this list to try this week - your nervous system will thank you.
Save this for later and come back to it when life gets busy.

We’re obsessed with the magic of Adelaide Fringe - the shows, the vibes, the spontaneous nights out. The seats, though? Let’s just say they don’t always love your spine back.
If your spine is a little grumpy after all that great entertainment, don’t try forget to check in and support your body so it can keep enjoying the fun.
Great nights out shouldn’t come with next-day stiffness.

Time really does fly when you’re having fun!
Dr Tamara has now been practising as a chiropractor for 30 years ~ and yes, we’re still wondering how that happened so quickly.

We asked her to pause, look back, share her story and reminisce a little — reflecting on the changes, the constants, and the parts of practice that still light her up.

Curious to know what’s stood the test of time (and what’s tickled her fancy along the way)?

The BOM has issues a Heatwave Warning across SA in the next few days.
Please listen to the health and safety warnings ~ heatwaves are the biggest killer of all Australia's extreme weather events. Don't let someone you love become a statistic!🫠
We should all drink 2.5 to 3.5 litres of water per day (20% of this comes from our food), but that number goes up when heat and humidity come into the story.
Start hydrating like you mean it now...and keep it up as we weather this unpleasant spate of hot weather 😉🙌🧡

About Us

Adelaide Chiropractic Centre, in its current form, is an amalgamation of two of the first four chiropractic practices established in Adelaide – Adelaide Chiropractic Clinic (Dr Horton) and Breen Chiropractic (Dr Breen). Founded in 1969, Adelaide Chiropractic Centre has withstood the test of time, maintaining its local presence and servicing the Adelaide region from its CBD base.

Our chiropractor, Dr Tamara Swaffer, has been practicing for over 24 years. She has a passion for chiropractic and a commitment to providing the highest quality of care. Her goal is to improve the health and wellbeing of each person who walks through our practice doors, aiming to educate and empower each patient to be an active participant in their health journey.

Operating out of the Adelaide CBD creates opportunities to work with a range of people from all walks of life; she also travels to Kadina to help keep the local farming community in good condition through the intensive periods around seeding and harvest.

Dr Swaffer is also a busy mum. When not sharing her energy and expertise with patients she is contributing to her local community and is involved in her children’s commitments – there is a lot of cricket and soccer. Dr Swaffer has a full life and is blessed to love what she does.
