💛 Menopause and endometriosis — what changes?
Many women wonder what happens to endometriosis around menopause.
For some, symptoms may improve as hormone levels change.
For others, symptoms can persist—especially if there are ongoing pain pathways or previous disease.
In some cases, endometriomas can still be present around menopause, and symptoms may continue even after previous surgery, including hysterectomy.
When considering menopausal hormone therapy, women with a history of endometriosis may sometimes require a combined approach rather than oestrogen alone, to reduce the risk of symptom recurrence.
Menopause can also bring new symptoms, which may overlap with pelvic pain.
What matters most is an individualised approach, based on symptoms, history, and goals.
✨ Support is available at every stage of life

Women’s History Month invites reflection on how far women’s healthcare has progressed — and where improvement is still needed.

For decades, women’s pain and hormonal health concerns were frequently minimised.

At Full Circle Care, we are proud to contribute to a model of healthcare that prioritises listening, validation and evidence-based practice.

We welcome opportunities to collaborate with practitioners and organisations committed to advancing women’s health outcomes in South Australia.

At Full Circle Care, we believe dignity in healthcare extends beyond our clinic walls.

Period poverty is real — even here in Australia.

For some girls and women, accessing period products isn’t guaranteed. And that can mean missed school, missed work, and unnecessary shame.

We’re proud to highlight the work of TABOO Period Products — founded by local Adelaide women — who are changing this story. For every product purchased, TABOO donates products to Australians experiencing period poverty.

This is what community care looks like. Women supporting women.

Practical action. Real impact.

If you’d like to learn more about how you can support period equity, visit TABOO’s website or start the conversation with someone today.

Because no one should have to choose between essentials and their period 💛
