Simon is a great asset to the team with his dedication and gentle nature! We appreciate all that you do!

Erin has been off on maternity leave with her 2nd little one. We have missed her caring and bubbly personality and are super excited to have you back with the team very soon!!

Miriam is always hard working and brings a positive energy to the clinic! Thank you for your continued efforts and making everyone around you laugh!

Did you know that we offer a range of different exercises classes at ANR 🏋🏼‍♀️

We offer classes specific for Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease which are land based classes focusing on elements of balance, mobility, aerobic activity and strength to help you meet the desired exercise guidelines based on the latest research!
Our Strength & Balance classes as well as our Tai Chi classes are great for falls prevention and confidence with movement!
We also offer hydrotherapy classes with tailored individualised programs which are created by your Neuro physiotherapist!

Today we are celebrating the International Day of People with Disabilities 👫


Every day at ANR we are constantly inspired by the incredibly driven and hard working clients with disabilities that we are fortunate enough to work alongside with. As neurological physiotherapists, we also see what challenges may arise for our clients, and for that reason, we believe in advocating for people with disabilities to increase awareness, start conversations and break down associated stigma.

The aim of international disability day is to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of those with a disability whilst also celebrating their accomplishments.

This morning we had the privilege of having Kunal from OrthoticSA and Phil from Massons Healthcare join us for our weekly professional development! Phil talked us through an FES device which provides electrical stimulation to muscle groups to assist with gait by facilitating the muscle to activate. Henry was our guinea pig willing to give it a try 👏🏻 👏🏻

This week Senior ANR Physiotherapist, Simon Michalski led our extended professional development on vestibular updates that included anterior canal BPPV and lateralization of Horizontal canal BPPV.
These regular updates are important to ensure that our staff are at the forefront of best practice for managing dizziness and vertigo.

November 2023 is Epilepsy Awareness Month!

Epilepsy is a neurological medical condition that produces seizures affecting a variety of mental and physical functions in all ages. It is important to educate yourself on what to do if someone was the have a seizure, in order to help best support them and prevent them from injury whilst seizing.

As NeuroPhysiotherapists, we are able to treat secondary effects from seizures such as brain injury or physical and functional changes.

National Amputee Awareness Week running 4th-11th of October 2023 is all about raising awareness and showing our support to the number of people in Australia living with limbs loss!

The loss of a limb is a life changing event and many Australians are living with the associated challenges every day.

Physiotherapy is an integral part for amputation recovery to address movement therapy, pain management, balance and coordination, strengthening to help maintain function and preparation for prosthesis.

Through raising awareness within the community, we provide an opportunity for people to tell their story ensuring they know they are not alone, and that help is out there!
