Does my baby have a spine problem? What can I look for?

Joint problems in infants are not always obvious to the casual onlooker and may require professional assessment to detect and resolve. Here are 8 things you can look for to see if it’s worth getting your baby checked by a Chiropractor:

1. Persistent head-turn preference to one side when sleeping
2. Flat spot developing on their head, at the back or off to one side
3. Head consistently tilts to one side when they face you, or when lifting their head during tummy time
4. One-sided breast-feeding fussiness, especially if milk flow is the same on both sides
5. Difficulty latching or feeding in the absence of technique problems, lip/tongue tie, or high palate
6. Crying or restlessness primarily when in car seat or capsule, or when getting dressed/changed
7. Discomfort with Tummy Time, in the absence of reflux/excessive wind
8. Excessive irritability or crying, in the absence of other more obvious causes
