Today is World Hearing Day.

Did you know? More than 95 million children and teenagers live with hearing loss. Many don’t get health services to remedy this.

Spot the possible signs of hearing loss in children:

⁉️ Frequently asking you to repeat
📖 Struggling with attention or keeping up at school
👂 Complaining of ear pain or ear discharge
🗣️ Showing delayed speech and language development

Early checkups and simple treatments can make a big difference. Don’t wait! Take your child for a hearing test.

If you do one thing for World Hearing Day today, make it a conversation.

Talk with the young people in your life about why their hearing matters for school, work, friendships and the things they love doing.

Encourage them to:

Get their hearing checked if they’re unsure or have noticed any changes.

Turn the volume down a little on headphones and devices.

Take listening breaks and use hearing protection in loud places (concerts, sports, machinery).

Healthy hearing now helps protect their communication, learning and brain health for years to come.

Happy International Cochlear Implant Day! Today we celebrate the opportunities cochlear implants create for listening and spoken language and acknowledge the ongoing advances in clinical care and technology that support children and families who choose this pathway in their communication journey.

Our Story

Little Ears was established in 2012 by Nicole Eglinton, a senior audiologist with extensive experience assessing children of all ages and developmental abilities. Due to both professional and client requests, in late 2014 Little Ears extended their audiological services to adults and became All Ears Audiology. We now offer paediatric and adult hearing assessments, and rehabilitation options including hearing aids and implantable hearing technology (e.g. cochlear implants). All Ears Audiology / Little Ears provides services to South Australian Ear, Nose and Throat specialists. We are passionate about the hearing health and listening abilities of our clients and ensure only the latest evidence based assessment and intervention methods are used. Please contact us for further information.
