Day 7 of Speech Pathology week celebrates how communication supports independence and confidence in everyday life.
Meet one of our amazing 11-year-old clients, Jun, who communicates fluently in Auslan and is also developing spoken English and Chinese. He recently set a personal goal: to be able to order his own meal at McDonald’s – in English! 🍟🥤
With plenty of motivation, practice, and the support of his cochlear implant, he can now proudly say: “Can I have chips and a coke please?”

This is a wonderful example of how building communication in multiple languages and modalities supports autonomy, confidence, and self-expression. We’re so proud of his effort and progress! 💪👏

Day 6 celebrates wellbeing through communication!

Little Allied Health has recently started it's "Little Chatterboxes" playgroup, in hopes of creating a space for children who are Deaf and hard of hearing and their families to come together in a way that celebrates and highlights that communication is more than just words — it connects us, helps us share feelings, and builds our sense of belonging. Supportive spaces like playgroup nurture not only language, but also emotional and social wellbeing. 💛✨

Day 5 of speech pathology week is all about opportunity & opening doors!

Every child deserves the chance to play, learn, and connect, whether it's signing on the sidelines, calling for the ball, or both, every way of communicating opens up pathways for play, learning, and belonging. ⚽🤟🌟

This young player’s cochlear implant is more than just technology — it’s a bridge to teammates, friendships, and future possibilities. 🌟

Day 4 of SPA week celebrates empowerment through communication!

We’re all so proud of this amazing 3-year-old, who confidently puts on their own cochlear implant — a big step in learning to communicate and advocate for themselves.
Every small moment counts. 💛

Day 3 celebrates inclusion through communication! Communication opens the track for everyone to join in — whether it’s through talking, listening, signing, gestures, or shared play. It may look like this dad & daughter are just building a trainset, but what they are also building is shared moments of connection, fun, and belonging. When we make space for every way of communicating, we create communities where everyone can be part of the journey. 🌏✨

It's Speech Pathology Week, Day 2 - celebrating confidence through communication! At Evolution Dance Competition & Dancevision.TV, this little dancer with cochlear implants showed us how communication isn’t just about words — it’s about confidence, joy, and proudly expressing who you are. 💬✨

Our Story

Little Ears was established in 2012 by Nicole Eglinton, a senior audiologist with extensive experience assessing children of all ages and developmental abilities. Due to both professional and client requests, in late 2014 Little Ears extended their audiological services to adults and became All Ears Audiology. We now offer paediatric and adult hearing assessments, and rehabilitation options including hearing aids and implantable hearing technology (e.g. cochlear implants). All Ears Audiology / Little Ears provides services to South Australian Ear, Nose and Throat specialists. We are passionate about the hearing health and listening abilities of our clients and ensure only the latest evidence based assessment and intervention methods are used. Please contact us for further information.
