Living The Healthy Way with Lisa Wells I created this page as a safe place to share, comment and engage with each other to support the ups and downs of our relationship with food.

For 10 years I struggled with food addiction...how did I know I had food addiction? Because it was controlling me...I had no control over the binges when they came each day. Every afternoon straight after lunch, my brain would go...right chocolate 🍫 I would still be chewing my last mouthful 🤷‍♀️

😭 I remember one day curled up on the kitchen floor, simply not having the strength within me to overcome these thoughts that so powerfully gripped me every day. I still had hope...most days, it was an intense journey filled with daily turmoil in my mind. I did however grow through this addiction as I was so damn dedicated to working out why this was happening to me. Each day we have the opportunity to face our stuff or stuff our face...Lisa Wells

If you do well for a while with healthy eating and exercise...and then you sabotage it - there is a reason this is happening.

It's because of what is happening in your mind/your brain - It's not because you lack willpower!

It's because your brain wants what is familiar 🫢

When you understand this, your healthy living habits will change.

You can learn the skills to change this by strengthening your mind/body connection so you gain the confidence needed to make healthier choices with ease and be more empowered, happier and confident around food.

I've got it all worked out.

TRUTH: No one has it ALL worked out, I still have tough days, I'm not perfect with food.

I have worked some things out that have helped me and keep doing them every day - even when I don't feel like it.

That's how you get success with your health - long term.
