So very grateful to Kylie for her skill and patience in researching my somewhat complex family history. You have no idea

I am passionate about genealogy and I love to help people and give them a sense of their heritage, history and belonging to a vast family network covering many generations. This is William Willison Sr, seated outdoors in his suit and bowler hat. The original photo was tiny and faded, but with careful restoration and colourisation, we can see so much more of the man behind the name.

What I'm working on:
These are some of the diaries of George Chapman my 2x great grandfather. They're at the State Library of South Australia, starting from 1872. I am currently transcribing and annotating part of the 1872 diary to add to my genealogy assistant chatbot Ask Grandma Kylie. www.askgrandmakylie.com

I was so pleased to find this wonderful headstone for my 2Γ— great grandfather John Reid and his wife Catherine Burnet. It also remembers two of their children, Alexander and Christina. Finds like this are why I love family history β€” they connect us so directly to the people who came before us.
