The Relapse Prevention Program is a group therapy that runs once a week facilitated by a psychologist. It is designed to assist your efforts in maintaining abstinence, or complement one-on-one therapy if you have recently been through withdrawal or inpatient detox from alcohol or drugs. Our next group begins on the 3rd of October and there are spots available. Medicare rebates can be obtained through a referral from a GP or psychiatrist under the Commonwealth Better Access scheme to psychological services Mental Health Care Plan. Our Story

PsychMed is a leader in the provision of evidence based Psychological treatment programs for individuals, families and businesses. We provide clinical services, professional and business training and behavioural science research. Many of our Psychologists are amongst the most experienced clinical practitioners and academic educators in SA. PsychMed has five fully staffed centres across Adelaide with specialist programs and rural and remote visiting services throughout SA. We are the largest provider of employee assistance programs; we also provide employment screening and research assistance, including professional market research.

PsychMed is a driver of innovation in SA mental health, su***de prevention, trauma & DV and alcohol and other drugs recovery programs. In 2017 PsychMed launched four Australian first pilot programs pioneering new treatment in su***de prevention, trauma, alcohol & cannabis and the MATRIX ICE treatment programs. PsychMed won two commonwealth (PHN) 1stprize awards for excellence in innovation in mental health and Alcohol and other drug (MATRIX program) and Innovation and collaboration (with Anglicare SA) for our complimentary su***de prevention programs. In 2018 we launched Australia’s first animal assisted therapy, cat relaxation room and have come 1stas the highest placed business in the health category in the SA Fast Movers awards two years running, placing 9thand 5thoverall.

Our mission is to provide excellence in mental health treatment and workplace wellbeing and culturally appropriate psychological services to those seeking excellence and those most in need in the community. PsychMed provide non-sectarian services through collaborative partnerships and care, regardless of socio economic status, geographical location, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or cultural background.
