What better way to kick off the week than with some fresh air and exercise! 🚴‍♂️🌳

Our participants had a wonderful time bike riding around our beautiful, spacious property today. With the sun shining and the breeze in the air, it was the perfect setting to enjoy the scenery and get moving!

There were plenty of smiles, laughter, and moments to take in the peaceful surroundings. We love seeing everyone staying active and embracing the outdoors here at Windamere Park! 🌞💚

Happy Friday Everyone! 🌻

With the chilly weather well and truly settled in, we’ve been making the most of it with one of our favourite winter activities - campfires! 🪵🔥

Our participants love getting involved collecting kindling, helping prepare the fire, and learning all about fire safety along the way! Once the flames are crackling, we sometimes turn it into a delicious lunch using skills from our Cooking Program! 🍳😋

There’s something so special about good company, and the crackle of a warm fire in the crisp winter air 💙

Happy Monday Everyone! 🌻

Friday marked a very special moment at Windamere Park! 🐛 After four years of working alongside Greening Adelaide to restore the habitat, we helped release Yellow Sedge Skipper larvae into the area💙

Our participants were so excited to witness this milestone. These tiny larvae will one day grow into beautiful Yellow Sedge Skipper butterflies, and we’re incredibly proud to have played a part in creating a space where they can thrive 🦋🌱

A huge thank you to Greening Adelaide for including us in this important conservation project 💛

Happy Friday Everyone! 🌻

Our recent Outdoor Adventure Stay at Windamere Park was full of fun, friendship, and new experiences!

Participants got involved in outdoor cooking, feeding the animals, and even cleaning their own cabins, all whilst building confidence and independence 🪵 🔥 🍳

Participants also spent time out in the community, visiting Yitpi Yartapuultiku to learn about Aboriginal culture and enjoyed a nice picnic followed by dolphin spotting and a scenic walk along the boardwalk at Garden Island! 🐬

It was a fantastic weekend with plenty of laughs, friendship, and learning 💙

Our Animal Care Program has been full of fun and responsibility this week! Our participants having been busy helping us feed, water, and care for our friendly farm animals 🐐🐔🐑

Looking after animals is such a great way to build independence, grow confidence, and learn the daily routines that come with caring for others 💙

From filling water troughs to handing out feed (and cuddles!), every moment is a chance to learn, connect, and enjoy nature 🍃

It might be cold outside, but that’s not stopping our participants from diving into our swimming program! 🏊‍♀️❄️

We are lucky to have access to an indoor pool, which allows us to keep this important program running throughout the winter months 👏

Swimming is just one of the many programs we offer at Windermere Park that helps our participants build confidence, stay active, and learn valuable life skills all year round 💙

Our wonderful participants enjoyed a fantastic community outing today at the stunning Morialta Conservation Park!

With the sun shining and the scenery in full bloom, it was the perfect day to get outdoors, connect with nature, and get those steps up 🥾🌿
