Warming up - here’s the practical takeaway we use as exercise physiologists.

✅ You don’t need a long cardio warm-up before strength training
✅ A Specific warm-up is usually enough
✅ Use a few lighter sets, gradually building toward your working load
✅ For maximal strength training, short heavy or explosive warm-up sets can actually improve performance

Do you actually know your health “numbers”? 📊

Most of us wait until something feels wrong to check in with our health. At Movement in Mind, we believe in being proactive. Our Fit-Check isn’t just a fitness test—it’s a comprehensive clinical snapshot of your physical wellbeing.

In one 60-minute session with our Exercise Physiologists, we measure:

✅ Vitals: Blood Pressure, Blood Glucose, and Cholesterol (HDL/LDL).
✅ Function: Lung function (FVC/FEV1) and Blood Oxygen.
✅ Physicality: Strength, Balance (Falls Risk), and Cardio Fitness.

What do you get?
You’ll walk away with your unique Fit-Check Score and a comprehensive document detailing exactly where your health stands today, with a roadmap on how to improve it.

Knowing your numbers can reduce mortality risk by up to 30% and significantly lower the risk of Type 2 Diabetes and Heart Disease.

Stop guessing. Start measuring.

Our EP Christian was thrilled to be part of the clinic day at Strathalbyn! 🐴

As an exercise physiologist, I had the privilege of sharing my expertise and helping people with different abilities develop capacity for horse riding. The passion and determination I witnessed from everyone involved was truly inspiring! 💪❤️

Being in the presence of such dedicated individuals and horse lovers has opened my eyes to the transformative power of equine therapy. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and can’t wait to see how this program continues to impact lives. Here’s to building strength and confidence, one ride at a time!

Movement belongs to everyone, and together we can build a more inclusive and accessible world where all people can move, grow and thrive!
