The kINdred sessions differ to the adult sessions whereby I work on the child remotely. Because energy is all around us (everlasting and without boundaries), with your permission I am able to enter into the child’s energy and perform the balance from any distance. Your child can be in the comfort of your own home, playing with you, while they get a balance! The only 2 requirements for the session is that I have your permission before I start (or I am unable to access their energy) and that they are awake.

I mix it up each month, last time I used a home made Sage and rosemary stick … today I made up a spray and popped some rosemary under the door mat.

Anyone else going down a full moon/ new moon rabbit hole. I sure have been over the past 6 months or so. Love learning more about the moon phases and how they impact the energy around us or how we can better tap into the energy.

One thing I have started making is MOON WATER. Wanna make some with me tonight?

Tonight we welcome a rare Black Moon here. This is a New Moon phase, completely dark and invisible, carrying energy of fresh starts, release, and renewal.

How to make the water:
Simply fill a jar with fresh water, set your intentions for new beginnings (I write them on a slip of paper and pop it under the jar), and leave it outside overnight beneath the dark sky, or inside next to a open window.

Some ideas for affirmations...
🌙 My life is open to new possibilities, and I step forward with clarity
🌒 I am ready to reset, refresh, and realign with my highest self
🌑 I create space for growth, joy, and new opportunities.
🌙 This water holds the energy of cleansing and fresh starts

I love me some space clearing… a little smudge, lit candle and some fresh air really can change the whole vibe of my house or balance space.

Over the last 12 months I have been learning more about how to incorporate fresh or dried herbs into my space, making home sprays with my oils and adding in some key crystal placement.

There is so much info out there and it can feel a bit complicated or overwhelming. But it really doesn't have to be! So, I given myself a little project of putting together info, tips and breaking down what oils/ herbs/ crystals help and where to place them.

• Supporting teens with kinesiology •

Being a mum tweens/teens and 15+ years of experience as a middle and high school teacher, I see just how much pressure today’s teens face. From schoolwork and social expectations to big emotions they don’t always have words for, it can feel like a lot.

That’s why I’m so passionate about supporting their mental and emotional wellbeing through kinesiology.

A session with me is a safe, calm space with no pressure to talk or explain, just time to rest, reset, and feel supported. In around 45 minutes, we gently calm their nervous system, ease tension, and help them reconnect with their body, emotions, and inner joy.

Whether it’s anxiety, overwhelm, friendship worries, or just needing a moment to breathe…kinesiology can help teens feel lighter and more balanced.

There are two types of appointments you can book for teens, either a kids/concession balance which is 45 mins of kinesiology OR the Teen Tune Up, for the active teens. This incorporates some cupping and massage for sore bodies with some kinesiology to chat about worries/ calm nervous system as well.

Following on from yesterdays post, kinesiology can be such a support in so many ways for children. Balancing my boys was the main reason I started to learn about this gorgeous modality. My eldest was a stage 5 clinger when he was younger and balances just seemed to help him calm and feel safe.

We balance children in the Balance Space from age 5 but do remote sessions for the younger ones. Children (or kindred balances) are 30minute fun and interactive sessions aimed at helping kids connect to and understand their bodies and emotions better.

For children some of the key things we can support with and that I see in clinic include:

🩷Sleep issues – nightmares, restless sleep, trouble winding down
💚Big emotions – anxiety, sadness, frustration, or emotional overwhelm
💙Behaviour changes – anger, withdrawal, or difficulty regulating themselves
🧡School stress – learning blocks, focus, memory, and concentration challenges
💛Friendship worries – social anxiety, feeling left out, or difficulty connecting
🤍Confidence building – self-esteem, resilience, and feeling more secure in themselves
🩶Transition periods – starting school, changing classes, or moving homes
🩵Physical discomforts – headaches, tummy aches, growing pains with no clear medical cause
🤎Overwhelm from sensory input – feeling overstimulated or “on edge”
🩷Recovering from illness or setbacks – regaining balance after being unwell
💙General calm – helping them feel safe, grounded, and supported

How are you really feeling?

Winter has a way of sneaking into our hearts as much as it does our homes. The shorter days, extra layers, and less sunshine can leave us feeling a little flat, more tired than usual, or just… a bit off.

It’s not just in your head, with less Vitamin D and fewer chances to connect, our energy and mood naturally dip this time of year. Also I am learning about planets and their effect on us, and my googling says we are in the middle of all the retrogrades

So this is your gentle reminder to check in with yourself today:
• Are you resting enough?
• Have you moved your body or stepped outside for some fresh air?
• Have you reached out to someone, even just for a quick chat?
• Any supplements you need to add or up, or appts you need to make?

Be kind to yourself. Rest a bit more if you can and be sure to stay connected... to yourself and others.

• Only a few days of school holidays left •

As the holidays slowly wind down, I am taking a deep breath and enjoying these last few slow mornings. Last couple of weeks have been full of sleep-ins, lazy breakfasts, weekend exploring, all the sports, sleep overs, mum taxi duties and pyjamas until midday.

And the rest of the time... has been them sitting in front of a screen. Sometimes a phone and an xbox. What can I say, my kids are talented at multitasking screens😆Sometimes their friends come over to play screens together! Sound familiar?

Holidays are meant for rest, for connection, and yeah even for a little extra downtime that makes life easier. Our kids will remember the laughter, the fun, and the feeling of being loved… not the hours on a screen.

So, soak up these final days. Get rid of any of that mum guilt and enjoy that last sleep in xx

It’s something we don’t hear as much as we should so just in case no one told you lately… you are killing it!

Thank you for holding space for all around you.

Thank you from your body … for drinking that water, moving more, adding in that protein. Thanks for trying to listen in to the little cues a little more. For trying to get a bit more sleep.

Thank you for holding 17374 things in that gorgeous brain of yours. For knowing where everyone needs to be at all times, the appts, the shopping lists, social calendar. Thank you!

Thank you for all the work you are putting in behind the scenes. At work, at home, with your relationships.

Thank you for running everyone around, for the hugs, for the food shopping, the meals, the cleaning.

It might not feel like it but you are so loved and so appreciated.

How much stress are you holding on to today? Sometimes when it all gets too busy we need to physically stop and check in with our body.

How do you check in?

- I have put this as one of my screen savers on my phone just to remind me.
- Maybe you might set a reminder on your phone every few hours to have a drink of water
- Or you use a key phrase as the log on to your work computer like Bre@the! so each time you log in, you check in.

Find what works for you, just find something xx
