A new year begins
without needing our improvement.
We arrive just as we are,
already enough for this moment.
In stillness, we notice:
the breath is steady,
the body speaks quietly,
nothing asks to be changed.
We practice contentment—
not as settling,
but as resting.
This year,
may we need less,
listen more,
and trust the slow unfolding
of each breath.
