Great to get out to the Adelaide Uni Women’s Football Club this week 💥

Podiatrist Dale spent the evening 👇🏻
- Strapping up players before training
- Running gait analysis on-field
- Talking through running retraining principles
- Chatting with players about lower limb loading and technique tweaks

The engagement from the girls was top-tier — committed and clearly invested in their performance 💪🏻.

The women’s team is just as much a part of the AUFC fabric as the men’s, and it’s awesome to see that reflected in how they train, play, and support each other 🔥

Adelaide University Football Club - Sponsors 🙌🏻

As of the 2025 season we have jumped on board with the Adelaide University Football Club as a Silver sponsor!

As part of this sponsorship, our Podiatrist Dale has been bringing a treadmill to training sessions to perform on-site gait and running assessments for players 🏃🏻🏃🏻‍♀️

This proactive approach is designed to identify biomechanical issues early and help prevent lower limb injuries before they occur as well as assessing risk factors for players with a history of foot and lower leg conditions.

By closely monitoring foot alignment, running mechanics, and load distribution, we aim to reduce the risk of common AFL-related injuries such as:
🦵🏻Plantar fasciitis
🦵🏻Achilles tendinopathy
🦵🏻Shin splints (medial tibial stress syndrome)
🦵🏻Stress fractures
🦵🏻Ankle sprains
🦵🏻Sesamoiditis
🦵🏻Turf toe/ plantar plate issues

Particular attention is given to players with a history of foot, ankle, or leg issues, with personalised management strategies to keep them fit and on the field 💪🏻

It’s a privilege to contribute to the health and performance of AUFC athletes, and we are excited to support the club’s ongoing success—both on and off the field.
