Our pharmacists - including Thoa Le from Central Station Pharmacy - do a wonderful job keeping our communities safe.
In many instances, they are our most accessible healthcare professionals - the experts we turn to first to seek advice and guidance of a whole range of health conditions.
So today - on Thank Your Pharmacist Day - we say thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all you do to keep us safe and healthy.

Reminder: Please use alternative transport options or work from home if possible on Monday, 9 January. Bus services will be significantly reduced due to planned industrial action by some drivers employed by Torrens Transit.

There will be major disruption to bus services across metropolitan Adelaide, with the exception of the Outer South and Hills areas, which are expected to operate to normal timetables.

Select corridors will be serviced with buses planned to run every 30 minutes. For more information, visit: bit.ly/3vBXRQo

Some of these services may also need to be cancelled at short notice due to driver availability. Commuters are strongly encouraged to use alternative transport options, including using park β€˜n’ rides to access train and tram services, carpooling with a colleague or friend, or working from home where possible.

Many areas across Adelaide’s eastern and western suburbs, inner north and inner south, as well as the outer north-east (which includes O-Bahn services) and outer north, will not have any services on Monday.

Thank you for your patience. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

This Sunday is Pink Ribbon Day. Please help raise breast cancer awareness by encouraging your loved ones to do routine screening

Did you know that 9 out of 10 women with breast cancer don’t have a family history of the disease?

This Sunday is Pink Ribbon Day, and you can help to raise breast cancer awareness by encouraging your loved ones to do their routine screening mammograms. The earlier breast cancer is found, the better the chance of surviving it.

BreastScreen Australia invites women aged 50 – 74 to a free screening mammogram every two years. Are you up to date?

R U OK day: This day is practiced annually and is a huge success. Please continue to help others by encouraging people to share how they're doing and feeling more often. Opening up to others about our feelings and our current situation can be difficult, but when we share our mental health and life struggles with others, it can allow for a world of change to occur. As the person asking might be willing to help you overcome this hurdle or they may be able to connect you with someone who can better assist. It also allows the individual that's opening up about how they're feeling and if they're OK to grow as a person. The person explaining they're situation can process this information differently when saying it aloud and perhaps get a new perspective on it from the other person. This will allow them to come to terms with the situation better. Remember that sharing is important and it's okay to need help in life, it's crucial we all understand that

You don’t need to be an expert to have an R U OK? conversation. Listening and giving someone your time might be just what they need to help them through.

Today is R U OK?Day, an annual national day of action and a reminder that every day is the day to check in with your friends, family and colleagues. Ask R U OK? No qualifications needed, because a conversation could change a life.

Visit bit.ly/3CXMt6j for FREE resources to help you have an R U OK? conversation and your guide to supporting R U OK Day.

There are many forms of disability that affect people of all ages. Teaching others to respect and understand those affected by disability can help those affected by the disability itself, in addition it can allow others to better accept those with disabilities, growing a better community for everybody.

In this example, Bluey has allowed children to learn that some children can't speak, it teaches them to still accept them for who they are and learn new ways to communicate with them. Children unable to speak can be caused by a number of conditions, such as hearing loss, physical problems in the roof of the mouth, learning disabilities or certain diagnosable conditions like autism spectrum disorder or cerebral palsy

Beloved Aussie children’s cartoon, Bluey, has introduced a non-speaking pup - and shown a part of society we rarely see on mainstream television.

The Gawler / Elizabeth train line will be back in full service as of next week. After over a year of its service being down due to an upgrade consisting of electrification of the railway line and trains from the former diesel trains. There were a lot of other hiccups faced during the upgrade process, but it's finally back up and running! Enjoy the ride and we will see you all soon at the CBD train station near the exit via Hindley Street, safe travels πŸ˜€

Commuters can hop on the Gawler line free of charge tomorrow, when the newly-electrified line between Adelaide and the northern suburbs finally re-opens.

The line, plagued by repeated delays and cost blowouts, will provide a faster and quieter service for thousands of commuters.

The first train leaves Gawler at 6.25am on Sunday 12 June.
