What is mastitis?

Mastitis is a condition that occurs when the breast tissue becomes inflamed, usually as a result of a bacterial infection.

Physiotherapists can play an important role in the management of mastitis by helping to relieve symptoms and promoting healing.

Here are some ways that a physiotherapist can help with mastitis:
* Breast massage
* Lymphatic drainage
* Exercise
* Education

Overall, physiotherapy can play an important role in the management of mastitis, working alongside medical interventions such as antibiotics and pain relief medication. If you are experiencing mastitis symptoms, it's important to seek medical advice from your healthcare provider or you can book an appointment with our physiotherapists, Queenie or Grace in Stepney.

We enjoyed our team building event this weekend at .adelaide. What a great experience we all had. It was a great opportunity to throw ourselves out there and enjoy challenging different obstacles and zip lines above the ground. Stay tuned for our next adventure!

Do you know physiotherapy can be an effective and non-invasive treatment option for BPPV, and can help to improve a person's balance, reduce dizziness, and improve their quality of life?

A physiotherapist can perform specific maneuvers to reposition the displaced calcium crystals in the inner ear, which helps to alleviate the symptoms of vertigo.

The most common maneuver used by physiotherapists to treat BPPV is called the Epley maneuver, also known as the canalith repositioning procedure.

During this maneuver, the physiotherapist guides the patient through a series of head movements that help to move the calcium crystals out of the affected ear canal and into a different part of the inner ear where they no longer cause vertigo symptoms.

If you experience dizziness associated with BPPV, feel free to schedule an appointment for an assessment and treatment with one of our physiotherapists with/without a doctor’s referral.
