Today on International Women's Day we celebrate all women, with a special focus on women with disabilities whose strength and leadership keep driving change 🦾

This year’s theme, Balance the Scales, reminds us that equality still takes work. Too many women continue to face discrimination and barriers that limit their choices. At NDSP, we stand with women with disabilities and continue working toward a world where every woman is safe, heard, and free to shape her own life.

📚 From 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar' to 'The Gruffalo', and all the childhood favourites in between, stories crack open a kid’s imagination in the best possible way. And Vision Australia is making sure little ones who are blind or have vision loss get that same magic 🪄

Their Feelix Library sends out free story kits to families across Australia filled with books, tactile pieces, and sensory extras that help kids dive into a story in their own way. It’s for babies right through to school‑aged kids (and even comes in languages other than English).

Beach safety is such a big deal for us Aussies, and seeing kids pull on their own red and yellow cap is pretty special 🌟

Now there's a program specifically for kids with disability to learn real surf life saving skills in a way that works for them, and the Starfish Nippers have been absolutely thriving! Real little legends in the making.

It's only running at a handful of Victorian surf life saving clubs so far… but imagine this popping up on beaches all around Australia 🌊💛❤️
