Written consent was obtained from this patient to share his case.

This case involved a distal biceps repair. A key concern for the patient was preserving the integrity of his tattoo artwork. Careful pre-operative planing and incision placement allowed us to perform the procedure while maintaining the aesthetic continuity of the tattoo.

Respecting patient priorities- both functional and personal- is an important part of surgical care.

It was great to share recent updates in the management of bicep injuries and shoulder dislocations, and to highlight the critical role orthopaedic nurses play in patient outcomes.

Modern orthopaedic surgery increasingly incorporates advanced digital planning and patient-specific instrumentation to support precise correction of complex conditions.

In this case, three-dimensional imaging and pre-operative planning software were used to analyse a bony deformity resulting from a previous fracture. Custom instrumentation was then utilised to assist with accurate realignment during surgery.

This approach allows correction to be carefully planned in advance, with the aim of restoring anatomical alignment and supporting functional outcomes in a controlled and considered manner.

Individual results vary. Treatment recommendations are based on clinical assessment and imaging findings. Every patient and situation is unique — your individual case and treatment options will be discussed in detail with Dr Basel Masri.
