YOGA.Hwamin Yoga and chair yoga in Aberfoyle Park. Yoga to unwind, de-stress and restore. Includes gentle poses, breath awareness, guided relaxation and meditation.

Promotes flexibility, strength and balance. Suits all abilities including beginners. Yoga provides a sense of physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Postures (Asanas) relax and tone muscles and massage internal organs. Breathing techniques (Pranayama) slow and deepen breathing and regulate the flow of energy. Relaxation and meditation act to calm the mind and emotions. These different types of

yoga practices enhance each other and they become more effective when done together. For example postures stretch the muscles to release muscular tension and we then feel more relaxed mentally. Likewise when we relax the mind and release suppressed emotions we become less tense on a physical level. Daily practice of yoga can restore our natural balance and harmony, enabling healing to occur from within, bringing good health to all parts of our life- physical, mental and spiritual. Yoga teaches us that happiness is within each of us and is self-revealing as we learn self-acceptance, humility and gratitude. Yoga is not just for young and flexible as it works holistically, not just on physical level, so don't let the image of yoga get in the way of having a go. Our body is unique and some postures are just physically impossible for our body shape. Even the great masters would acknowledge that their body has its limitations (self-acceptance). Classes include gentle warm up stretches, yoga postures with breath awareness, breathing techniques and relaxation/meditation. Postures are presented in stages so students can progress at their own pace. Students are shown how to modify and adapt postures to suit their particular needs. Start where you are at now.

- Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes
- Allow at least 1 hour after a snack or drink and 2-3 hours after a meal before practicing yoga.
-Bring a small blanket for relaxation
