After what I would describe as a challenging week post surgery, I had the privilege of flying Business class to Perth followed by a road trip to Albany with some of my best friends. Cameron and Gerard, I cannot thank you enough for your generosity.
Special mention to all the members of the Port Lincoln Mens shed who helped me on the day of the accident and messages of support since.
When something like this happens it really shows how the community can come together to help someone in need.
I have really struggled physically and mentally this week and now face a long recovery over the next few months. I think the biggest impact has been the fact that all my planning and hard work up to this point has been snatched away.
With my family around me it will smooth the road ahead and I look forward to eventually recommencing my trip, although it will most likely be next year.
Julie-Anne Ramsell, you are my biggest support and I know the next few months will be hard but with you by my side I can do anything. Love you wife x.
