Ann Fletcher's story after many decades was memorialised at a private event at Diverse-City last Sunday.

Her friends and family crafted a quilt panel in her memory, and it was an honour for our team to support this effort.

Ann's experience as a nurse in Sydney during the early days of the HIV/AIDS epidemic drives home the widespread and indiscriminate impact of the virus.

Thank you to Ann's family and friends for their openness and for allowing us to support to this powerful act of memorialisation.

Sustainable Style is so popular we need MORE volunteer facilitators!

We are looking for volunteers to facilitate Sustainable Style and make a significant contribution to the health and wellbeing of people living with HIV and LGBTIQA+ communities in South Australia.

Sustainable Style is held on the 2nd Saturday and 4th Friday each month.

We want to build the capacity for more community members who will take on the role of peer leaders for the project.

If you love to sew, being around people, and giving back to the community, drop us a line at: THHSA@thorneharbour.org

South Australian Police (SAPOL) recently launched a revised LGBTIQA+ Strategy which includes updates to the LGBTIQA+ Liaison Officer Program.

Thorne Harbour Health was one of the organisations consulted in developing this strategy alongside SA Rainbow Advocacy Alliance, SHINE SA, and The Equality Project - Australia.

We’re hopeful that this strategy helps SAPOL better understand the needs of our diverse communities in South Australia and respond appropriately.
