Preparing for labour can feel like a big and sometimes uncertain time 🤍
In clinic, I often support women in the lead-up to labour with a more holistic approach — looking at not just the physical body, but also the nervous system, stress levels, and overall wellbeing.
There are a number of gentle ways to support the body during this time, depending on the individual.
I also work with women attending Flinders Birthing Centre and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital, supporting them alongside their midwives in preparing for labour in a natural and holistic way, including the use of acupuncture as part of that support.
And just as importantly, support doesn’t stop at labour — recovery and lactation can be just as important parts of the journey.
