🤔 Not every pelvic floor symptom is caused by weakness. That’s a really common misunderstanding.

For some people, the pelvic floor muscles are actually too tense or overactive. Instead of needing more strengthening, the muscles may first need help learning how to let go and relax properly.

When that happens, symptoms can look like:
• pelvic pain
• pain with in*******se
• difficulty emptying the bladder
• constipation or difficulty emptying the bowels

If you assume every pelvic floor issue needs strengthening, you can end up doing exercises that don’t match what your body actually needs.

That’s why assessment matters.

We look at how the muscles are functioning — not just whether they’re “strong” or “weak” — so treatment can be matched to the problem.

For many people, the first step isn’t building more tension. It’s learning how to relax.

Ever been told that your hip is 'out'? You can be sure it isn't.

This is what it looks like when your hip is actually 'out'.

It doesn't happen easily, it usually takes trauma like a car accident.

You can't walk on it. It 'telescopes'.

Just so you know!

Help with ongoing back pain should not guesswork. Best-practice physio usually follows a simple sequence:

• rule out anything serious
• work out what’s mechanical and potentially changeable and treat that
• build understanding + confidence in your back and your body
• increase strength and tolerance with benefit of this knowledge
• progress activity and exercise in a way your system can tolerate

It is human to look for a magic fix, but frankly it can create confusion and ultimately waste your time.

If you are stuck, if you have given a certain approach/practitioner a reasonable length of time and you aren't satisfied, don't be afraid to get a second opinion.

You might find out that you are doing everything right!

Posture isn’t “good” or “bad” — it’s “same position too long” vs “enough variety.” We hear people say, “I know I have bad posture…” like they need to apologise.

The thing is: posture is rarely the single cause of headaches. It can contribute, but often it’s more about lack of variety than “bad posture”.

For some people it’s a bigger factor — especially if there’s pre-existing neck issues, higher stress, poor sleep, long screen time, or you’re already running a sensitive system.

Try this instead of chasing perfect posture:
• change position every 30–45 minutes
• stand up, walk, reset
• gently move your neck through a few directions
