If so, this is a great opportunity to attend the SA Sports Medicine Association's upcoming Level 1 Sports Trainer Course, supported by the Government of South Australia and SA Recreation and Sport.

The one-day course is delivered by a range of 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 sports medicine experts, including local 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 and 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘀𝘁𝘀, often working for elite SA sporting teams.

Held at the new, state of the art, South Australian Sports Institute (SASI) complex, join the almost 𝟱𝟬𝟬 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 who have gained their accreditation with SASMA over the past 12 months!

Great to be at the Adelaide Lutheran Sports Club this evening, a 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗞 𝗖𝗹𝘂𝗯 ✅

By completing the TICK checklist, the club demonstrated they have the correct measures in place to ensure the safety of their community! 💪

This funding can be used to support your players safety by accrediting more Sports Trainers, Concussion Education, Medical Equipment, and more!

Active recreation, sport and recreational fishing clubs can now apply for their share in over $1.3 million through the latest round of the Active Club Program ⚽🤽‍♀️🏀🎾🎽🏌️

Clubs are eligible to receive up to $3,000 in funding to support programs and equipment that encourage more South Australians to be physically active.

SASMA Member, 𝗗𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗙𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗲𝗿, retiring after 29 years with the Port Adelaide Football Club, 13 seasons with SANFL’s South Adelaide, totalling 42 years of working weekends supporting sporting teams!

A remarkable achievement! Congratulations from the sports medicine community across SA.

Great to have students from Temple Christian College at SASI today for a practical Sports Taping Course! 🧻 💪

Students were introduced to the principles of sports taping, and were able to practice a variety of taping techniques, including of the ankle, fingers, shoulders and knees!

There is NO current evidence-based information supporting the use of headgear to protect you against concussion. Helmets are not recognised anywhere in the world to prevent concussion.

SASMA, your National Sporting Organisation and Medical Experts will share any updates on this position.
